If I may ask, why is the ending interpretation still that Byron might rove again? I was suspecting that Byron would give up roving for good due to the reflective tone of the poem.

Very good video by the way, i’m just curious on that one point. It’s a great dissection of Lord Byron’s hedonistic tendencies and the regret associated with them.

When I read this poem I took it as a eulogy for a lover. He writes WE so the end of roving might come from either partner.. The repeated "be still", words to comfort someone passing. The second stanza is a musing lament on mortality, his own and this partner's and all of us.
