If I may ask, why is the ending interpretation still that Byron might rove again? I was suspecting that Byron would give up roving for good due to the reflective tone of the poem.

When I read this poem I took it as a eulogy for a lover. He writes WE so the end of roving might come from either partner.. The repeated "be still", words to comfort someone passing. The second stanza is a musing lament on mortality, his own and this partner's and all of us.
