Alot things that happen in the hood become natural and aren't scary anymore. Just like the struggle isn't scary because it is what it is. Spoken like a true OG rapper. I grew up in the south bronx in the 70's and 80s. I survived it and proud of it. Like a badge of honor. Like they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Don't forget better !

Yeah I got hip to Lord Finesse in 1995 with *Hip To The Game* then D.I.T.C. later, but my introduction into DITC was lord Finesse in 1995. When he did the songs with KRS One and Large Professor on that album it sealed the deal

LF saying some dumb things about education. The man without a degree is telling me not to get 1.
@proned2stoned Жыл бұрын
A higher education has helped many people but the cost and debt for many- that other side of the coin doesn't help. He is making a point that is not false. How many people got a diploma but don't use it? A shit load. Not every degree guarantees a job but trade schools are known to be better investments. But you say he was dumb bringing up some facts - go invest four years and be the exception.
@nadimovitch9237 Жыл бұрын
@proned2stoned how do you know I haven't already invested 4 yrs? I realise it's not a one size fits all situation & that life skills can be gained alternatively. I personally would never tell anyone not to invest in a higher education.

Thats not dumb, theyre wise words. Make sure you got some practical skills one can fall back on.
