Have you delivered already? Delivery through CS is not an abnormal delivery. If you haven't delivered yet, have an ultrasound scan to know the current state and weight of the baby (as babies add more weight in the third trimester). If the ultrasound estimated weight is okay, you can go for induction. If the weight is above 4Kg, CS is the best option (for the safety of your baby and yourself). Also know that above 40 weeks some of the placentas begin to calcify with resultant reduction in efficiency of delivering nutrients to the baby. Above 40 weeks too, the amniotic fluid may not be adequate enough for the baby. I just had my first baby through CS on the first of this month. She was delivered at 40 weeks + 4 days with a birthday weight of 4.12Kg. The ultrasound estimated weight on the day of delivery was 4.26Kg. All the best.
