The expansion Legion is nearly here so in the next few weeks I'm going to cover the story leading into that expansion. How it all began, how the demon hunters join our forces and what goes down at the broken shores. In this one we're going talk about the history of the Illidari, Illidan's mission and how they ended up within the vault of the wardens. I hope you'll enjoy! ^_^

One of the weird things about the recent lore addition is that it seems so much could've been avoided if there was simply better communication. Sargeras could've simply told them, "Hey I might be evil, but there's the Void Lords which are far more terrifying and the Titans don't seem to have a solution. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing. Also if you stand against me, prepare to die- for I fight to make the universe a better place. " Illidan could've at least tried to explain some of his visions to Tyrande and his brother. And then during the Black Temple Raid, after we killed off so many of his lieutenants, he could've told us why he was doing what he was doing. I would've stopped right there and said, "Ok, let's go fight the legion." And then when I learnt about Sargeras quest to fight the Void Lords, I'd say "Ok, let's go fight the Void Lords." Btw, I still don't know what Teron Gorefiend was doing in Black Temple. It seemed like he was pretty well settled when we got there. And the quest where we put his soul back into his body didn't really answer why he was in Black Temple. I guess Illidan wouldn't mind having one of the original Death Knights on his side, especially those that were still warlocks. But still, kind of out of place. Also are demon hearts not like mortal hearts? I mean it seems that eating the heart doesn't constitute drinking its blood. Our hearts are full of blood, so if demon hearts are anything like ours, then it would be odd to imagine that you could eat the heart without drinking the blood.

Our hearts aren't 'full of blood'. It isn't some storage sack. It's a pump. There will be some blood in it as it's pumping but ultimately the heart is not exactly high capacity and really if you just ripped it out a lot of that little bit is coming out anyways. They got a small sip while consuming the heart. They needed to chug. The better question is why eat the heart at all, but frankly that was likely just borrowed from occult nonsense.

In the Novel Illidan (2016) Vandel wasnt the first, by the time he became a DH there was already 5 or 10 DH's who became the instructors, first the night elfs, then after that the Belfs , Illidan who didnt really trust, make them first swore full loyalty to him, and then he let them do the ritual...but Vandel was not the first :V

After reading the illidan novel, i got kinda mad and felt sorry for illidan, who has been misunderstood for all these years. in the past he tried explaining, but noone wanted to listen. and now he doesnt even bother anymore. Akama knew, that illidan was fighting against the legion and he knew that he succeeded invading the twisting nether. illidan even saved the guys from azeroth without them knowing it. and then they imprison him again and again, just to release him, whenever they need him as a weapon, just to lock him away and haing him, after he completed his task.

Samwise (one of the artists at Blizzard) hid pandas in a lot of his work. Similarly, other art departments started doing it. It just so happened that the model for Demon Hunters had a panda hidden on them (it looked like runes in gameplay, but the cutscenes were a lot closer up and made it easier to see).

To expand on that a bit, Samwise drew a picture of a panda samurai with a little panda girl for (I think for his daughter on her 1st birthday, but don't quote me on the specifics), and it accidentally wound up on the official Blizzard site under WCIII concept art. Blizzard decided to make an April Fools joke out of it, saying that "Pandarens" were going to be the 5th playable race. They thought everyone would find it really stupid, but it became insanely popular among the fans. People were seriously disappointed when they found out it was fake. They eventually added Pandarens as a hero class in Frozen Throne, and even gave one a mildly important (and at the very least memorable) role in the campaign. It actually makes me really sad whenever I see people shitting on MoP and the Pandaren. I've never seen a bigger love-letter added to a game: a whole expansion and playable race for the fans who embraced a silly idea with an open mind and open arms years ago.

Okay here's an off tangent theory/question, but how many people think they're setting up for elune to be the Titan inside azeroth? I know she was originally set up as the moon goddess, but in chronicles they stated she was tied to the well of eternity, a wound that was bleeding the life blood of a titan. Her major following is the night elves, who were evolved by the magic of the well, of the Titan. And now they've definitely 100% decided the Titan in azeroth is female (or as female as God planets can be). Considering the great power of elune (able to shield tyrande from the raw fury of archimonde in the war of the ancients trilogy, the powers she can bestow on her chosen and the things she has done through tyrande), PLUS again referencing chronicles (which is supposed to be the most up to date lore), she taught the night elves the Titan word for the continent - Kalimdor. I'm just really getting the feeling like that's gonna be the big plot twist in the story soon, maybe with magni. Pre chronicles it made no sense but now, idk. p.s. love your videos nobbel

I hope that this line from the Demon Hunter quests in the Vault of the Wardens is expanded upon. I found some interesting information while going through the Demon Hunter starting area. One of the rare spawns Wrath-Lord Lekos makes a surprising comment while you fight him. "Your world is the last standing. It, too, will be purged" If he is telling the truth, then this would suggest that every other planet within the current universe has been purged... all except for Azeroth. Thought you might be interested in that little tidbit.

5-10 quests would be enough like 1. kill a demon 2. eat his heart/drink his blood 3. defeat the demon in your mind 4. get some tat's 5. lose your eyes 6. listen to an awesome speech of illidan how you are the only hope of azeroth 7. look down from the top of the black temple and witness the invasion from horde/alliance 8. go to mardum where the regular demonhunter area starts that is live in the game i mean i know it is a bit more complycated than that but it wouldnt be that big of a deal since most of those quests are more story/lore quests that is one thing that makes the dk starting area so great in my eyes you start with nothing its like: go grab your fucking sword, go runeforge it, go and spy on the city, go kill a few other dk's to make sure you are a good fighter etc where as with the dh its more like you are this super op fighter ...although you just started you are one of those elite fighters who had super premium hard training... even though you didnt see any of it .. trust me it happened

like i said as a dk you start with nothing you dont even have a fucking weapon but as a dh you are just placed in an suposadly epic story without knowing anything without seeing any of that where as as a dk you are realy PART of that awesome epic story ( and yes i know a lot of ppl dont like dk's which is fine but i personaly love the starting area you have awesome vehicle fights you are tasked to do awesome shit like torture the shit out of ppl, make a fucking paper tree and hide behind it but as a dh its kill some demons ... go klick/acivate some stuff kill a mini boss, kill more demons, click some more stuff kill more mini bosses kill more demons and kill more demons oh and after you fucking killed your first demon you get a mount ... dk's need to go capture their fucking horse who are guarded by an immortal elite guard that almost oneshots everybody, then they need to capture a ghost horse after killing its fucking rider ... and back then ppl thought dk's get stuff shoved in their ass for doing nothing... well atleast they DID something for it but as dh kill those demons that have nothing to do with your fucking mount but hey heres a present - dont get my wrong i love dh's and i like their starting area i just think its way less exciting then the dk's was i mean you should think blizzard has improved on making more dynamic quests so you have a better expierience but nope not a single vehicle fight in the whole dh zone there isnt even any notable progress in the zone i mean dk's got an awesome lichking speech moment and real progress in their starting zone it started as an normal human village and with every quest the scourge influence became more clear but nothing of that epic progress happened with the dh starting zone i dont say they did a bad job i say they did a good job ...its just dissapointing because blizzard normaly delivers EPIC jobs so an good job doesnt look good

One of the reasons I started playing WoW was Illidan. During TBC my friends who played WoW were talking about killing Illidan in a raid, and I was like "Why would you kill him? He's a misunderstood guy who just wants the best for Tyrande." And they were like "No Illidan is the bad guy here. He should die." I was upset Blizzard was killing Illidan, my favorite character in Warcraft 3, so I started looking up WoW lore because I wanted to know why they were doing that. That got me interested in WoW. And now they're bringing Illidan back? I knew Illidan was the good guy. I knew it!

Why do some demons actually fight with Illidan against the Burning Legion? What are their motivations? Illidan had Succubi, Dreadlords and Shivarra and other demons in his army. Why would they fight for him? Thats something i question myself.

That was actually partly explained during the green harvest questline. Illidan offered them "power not unlike the original well of eternity in azeroth" as payment for their service. It would have been REALLY cool if Blizzard started the Demon Hunter questline *before* Mardum, and gave you a backstory to your DH transformation similar to the story in this video. It would have given players a bit more background information to the lore as well.
