Personally I think males and females suffer when there's no balance of feminine and masculine energies present in the childhood and early teens. And regardless of the direction that our society seems to be moving in, it's not "ok" and there aren't any substitutes. There are just things little girls need a mommy or mommy figure for, and there are things girls need a daddy, or a daddy figure for, and it's the same with little boys. And so when there is an imbalance, the results can be subtle, or extremely obvious. I must admit there seems to be more effeminate young men, let alone overly emotional. I have met guys with blatant feminine tendencies, and then when you take a look at their parent, they were raised by a single mom. Some ppl believe there is no correlation, but I think that's being in denial. And I'm not talking about sexual orientation. Bc you have gay men, that act like men. They are not effeminate, or flamboyant. None of that. Being gay, doesn't automatically mean a person behaves like that. So I don't mean that at all. Also you don't really see that many young men wanting to get married. They do exist, but not as much. Wanting to one day take the role as a father and husband. I think you have a lot of young men who are fathers bc it just happened, bc they had sex. There's a difference. And when you have a baby with someone who you were just sexual partners with, there's often times a disconnect. Bc the mother isn't a woman they loved, adored, or planned on spending their life with. So from jump, the family dynamic is crazy. Bc you have two ppl bound together by a child, who didn't even want all of that. And I truly believe that's why you have young men who feel disconnected from their children, bc they feel they had them with the wrong person. But the thing is, bc that's so common in our community, it seems ok. It's normal to do this. Not realizing what this perpetuates. And if it how you were raised, you could feel that you can do the same.

Truthfully, men are just as emotional than women. Men teach and socialize other men to be silent and not show their emotion as much. Women are given the ok to be deeply emotional. So technically, we all have the ability to be emotional. Women aren't naturally dispossessed to be more emotional. Society has just deemed that acceptable. If you have GOOD parents, which requires parenting SKILLS, even one will do. The problem is that requires time, attention, peace (calm stabilizing force), and a village (support outside of the individual parent). Within that context I firmly believe you can make a bunch of mistakes. Most ppl do not value those things and then be sure to self reflect and see what is wrong with themselves. That is key. I can relate to this, even though I grew up in a nuclear 2 family house, my dad was the breadwinner, mom stayed at home and worked part time remotely, but he was emotionally distant and wasn't really around much in my youth, and mostly focused on his career, so I was mostly raised by my mother and sisters, and I am very emotional and highly sensitive as a man. People do say that I act very emotional and too sensitive as a man, but in a way, I kind of like it, because most women growing up loved that I was in touch with my emotions as a man, and it''s easier for me to get along with women than men. People always joked and said that I was the ladies man, and that how I am so cool with the ladies, back in high school, university, online groups, grad school etc, and had lots of female friends.
