Visited HMS Victory last week, it was an amazing feeling walking around amongst the history inside. Feels massive as well with all the decks to go down into. She didn't have her upper masts up though so looked a bit bare on the outside.

Love the gold work on the Rear end of the hull. I built this kit and fitted Calico Sails to it, well worth it and yes it is better than the Revell kit. The Best Airfix Sailing Ship is the Wasa Frankie

Lucky enough to have been round this ship in real life. It’s huge. No way would I have the patience to build this. Good luck and look forward to seeing the final build.

Speaking of broken plastic, I have a 1/96 CUTTY SARK with broken bow spirt and many spars disconnected . It has sails but I never had the studding sails installed. It is an old kit that I got about 44 years ago. A few years ago i acquired another CUTTY SARK with no sails already built from a older man . Last summer I got a 1/96 USS CONSTITUTION and this one is a mess. Needs a major cleaning and some masts are broken at the tips and the rigging is call messed up. I think I have to completely re-rig it to aid in cleaning the body. It looks like it sat in a dusty shed for 20 years but I love that ship so it will be fun to see it back in all her glory.

The Victory is looking mighty fine, Frankie, I’m sure Horatio would be very proud, and ready to sail her again, if he could rise from his grave. I’ll go check out the walk around videos to see the inside of her, thanks for the heads up about them. Your Shangri-La looks pretty cool too, mate. Keep having fun! Cheers 👍👍🙂🍺🍺🍺

Hello Frank. I've been a on and off scale model builder for year's now . I've always wanted to build a wooden model ship . I have built rc boat's as well as several planes but never a ship. So after watching you're channel I was inspired to try my hand at it . I purchased a old scientific 1977 Santa Maria kit off of Ebay very basic kit at a very low price. Now my question to you may be a obvious one but here it is. Upon assembly I used gorilla wood glue it was all I had on hand . It says that it is sandable and stainable but after I assembled the hull and decking. I sanded the entire surface to where they're was no visible glue residue to a smooth surface. My problem is when I applied the stain a lot of joints wouldn't take the stain showing discoloration where the joints were glued. What would you recommend to correct this issue now that it's already been done? And what wood glue would you recommend to avoid this in the future? I try to use as little as possible to avoid smearing but I also sanded the heck out of it prior to staining so I'm a little pissed off with this gorilla glue. Thanks for any advice and thanks for all the fantastic video's. Maybe I should just stick with plastic kits and rc models but I really enjoy the the look and feel of the wooden ships. P.S if you have a channel or site that people can show their builds and ask questions please let me know. Thanks again Edmund. B

Thank you sir, health got in the way I’m still building the plastic. My father has mentioned what fun he had building a sterling spitfire and F4U so I thought I’d ask if you had any needing to be built. Ha after my dog pretty much destroyed the F4 phantom we were working on, I’m back enough to start a new kit and finish this one with out my dogs help. Hope all is well Frankie.
