I think it bears repeating that Hanako is the second highest score of her grade. She was jealous because she busted her ass studying to get that score, while this girl gets to be one of the top students of the country while basically fooling around with boyfriends. I dont know much about it, but as far as i know it’s a way to rebel against the dominant norms on what a high school girl should look like. Usually by having a light tan, dying their hair, wearing “loose socks”. So i think you should learn about it first before saying it’s blackface. Also, it has been talked about for as far as i could remember whether the scene here in asobi asobase is blackface (though it has also been explained for so long that it isn’t).

So I've found that's a recurring joke in the show, "Pleasure Seeking" seems to take on different interpretations from the girls inside of the club as opposed to people outside of the club (Sensei, Lord of Pleasure Seeking), what does "pleasure seeking" mean in Japanese context?

it's translated as "please seeking" but the actual words directly translated mean "playing". the club name is 遊び研究, and the direct translation for that is "research/investigation of playing/having fun", and that is why they always look for games and shit to do in their club. "playing" can mean just plain fun, with innocent games or something of the sort, but it can also mean playing around with people (not so innocent). i guess it's not too different from english in that way.
