About 10 years a go I had the soundtrack to Lord of the dance on cassette tape (taped from the TV) and I ruined it by rewinding this part too often... I remember thinking how awesome it would be if I could just hit a button a listen to it again :) God I love this!!

Exactly! I have been to several Celtic Woman concerts where I sat in the front row of the orchestra pit. I was close enough to hear the sound of the fiddle before it went into the mic, and I can absolutely tell you it's real.

This was done in 1999 (which means she would have been about 24 then). Today, she still has a lot of energy and beauty - the two things she says she strives to be. I'm a big fan.

Thanks Trip for those words :) These girls are surely amazing (hats of to them!) I have watched this video like more than 20 times & still get hooked to it frequently. Today I saw Michael Flatley`s biography on the Discovery Channel (Europe's Riches Men) He used to work in the construction field & never gave up on his Dream & thts why he is worth millions & millions of Euros :D:D

I've seen that one. It's one of the videos I revisit about once a week (would be more often, but there's *so* much good stuff out there). They're still tethered by mic cables. Cora is keeping up with Mairead on the fiddle, but I still haven't seen her dance like Mairead does in the Celtic Woman concerts. I really hope she's progressed; she would then be available if the Celtic Woman Curse finally strikes Mairead, who is the last original member left.

I believe the answer to +Steve Phillips' wonderment is that the violins are electric, rather than regualr, and the amps used allow for the extra sound.

They are playing cable-connected electric violins, and I don't think Cora can dance like Mairead. To see Mairead when she has the stage to herself, with a wireless mic on her 300-year-old Mathias Alban violin, look up "Granuaile's Dance." It should be among the sidebar links.

I'm really glad Mairead joined up with Celtic Woman. Lord of the Dance was holding her back. Have you seen her perform with Celtic Woman? She dances- all over the stage. When she plays here, she just stomps awkwardly, because she's playing with someone else.

Mairead is a former All-Ireland fiddle champion. She really plays in all the vids. She's been playing the fiddle since she was 6 years old so I think it's possible for her to play & jump at the same time. She's had years of practice. & she doesn't wear stilettos in the parts where she jumps around.

I have to say, it was the most incredible and beautiful concert I have ever been to. The women are just such amazingly talented individuals, they're all national and/or international singing champions or very close, and what's best is that they make slutty, talentless pop singers like Britney Spears look like even more utter garbage than before. WHY ISN'T EVERYONE ON EARTH A CELTIC WOMAN FAN?!?!?
