It is based on some christian themes and quotes that are used as a starting point to tell a story and paint a landscape that not very many christians would look upon approvingly, to put it mildly. For that reason I wouldn't call it religious. :) As for the masterpiece, I can't but agree wholeheartedly. And thanks a lot for the tip to listen to the songs by order.

It has no real meaning or anything, Chris said in an interview that it's just meant to sound ''elegant and powerful but they invented the words,'' since they don't like to use real world languages to not mix religions/cultures with their work. They had problems in the past with people putting hate because of this.
