"Concerning Hobbits" was the song I played as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day in the backyard, on the grass under the trees. Happiest day, happiest song. Every time I hear it I can close my eyes and remember holding my father's arm as I passed family and friends on my way to my husband's side. Perfection.

My heart longs for more beauty and reverence, and I find it all in the books, the trilogy and the music. Conveying why I love the Lord of the Rings so much is like trying to explain my relationship to 'a Higher Power' - seemingly few people truly get what I feel, and those are the people that I feel truly understood by in life. I love this community, may it ward Evil and foster goodness and wholesomeness.

But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. To be fair. LOTR is VERY old and over the years we had alot of GREAT to nearly awesome now fantasy-works that made it to the status of being a "alltime classic/legend". Even very new stuff can be fantastic. Fantasy has evolved.... and its not a bad thing. However.... LOTR is literally the Genre-Setter of "High Fantasy".... which makes younger folks think "Its so basic" ... .are they wrong? Yesn't.... compared to newer stuff lotr is indeed very basic fantasy... however.... the reason for that is that its literally THE foundation of fantasy, the inventor if you want to say so. So its not that lotr its basic... its that all modern fantasy is somehow build up upon lotr. LOTR will always be a fantastic masterwork. The "Genre-Setter" of fantasy literature. The "original". The green hills of the shire with its splendid hobbits will always bring peace into my heart.... what a great epos. Im honored that i was able to read your books Mr. Tolkien.

Romans 8:18-21 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons [and daughters] of God. For the creation itself was subjected to moral futility-not willingly, but by reason of God who subjected the same in hope, because the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption and decay into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in pain until now.

With tall lush green trees in a nice warm home preferably by or on the mountain as the sun casts its golden veils onto the grassy greens with animals roaming about and people living in harmony with nature. The wind dancing across the sky as the leaves converse with one another and the laughter of innocent children playing their games of adventure. Birds singing a symphony as a river gently tumbles down the mountain ever so gracefully. Yeah. This really is a sense of longing for me. I was looking for study music on KZbin and found this gem. It really got me through it and turned down my anxiety quite a bit. After scrolling through the comment section and reading how much LOTR meant to so many people, I decided to read the books. I wanted that same sense of “home,” and I really got it. I read the books and completely fell in love with the franchise. When I was younger, I watched the movies but didn’t really understand them. I’m so glad I stumbled across this, and now LOTR is one of my favorite series of all time and continues to give me that sense of comfort. Thanks to you all. I was feeling hopeless about a situation in my life and started getting really down on myself and feeling hopeless about myself. I decided to focus on this scene instead. I noticed what looks like a creature in the front on the roof. I focused on them and let the sadness settle some. Then I focused on the cottage in the front and worked on back to the other cottages. I focused on being present with the music and scene and asked myself, “which ‘cottage’ could I see myself living in”. This got me focusing on a positive thought and I let any sad feelings that would creep up, slowly go back away by reminding myself of positive ones instead (which happened several times as I gave myself the thought to focus on this scene and focus on positivity… as I put my energy towards thinking of the delights of this scene of nature, I imagined what it would feel like to be on the cool grass and smell blades of grass, a slight breeze. I asked myself “ what would be one or two of my favorite places to sit on the grass in this scene. And considered times when I might want to be more alone and where I’d go to be alone on the grass. This helped me from remaining sad all night. I’m grateful for this. And I hope somehow what I described can help someone focus on being kind to themself by taking a positive break. I saw hope in this scene

And everyone I've seen commenting in here, y'all stay cool and kind out there. You give hope to old guys like me who have seen how cruel life and people can be.

Everyone take a moment away from your fantastical musing and take a moment to say thank you to the composers and musicians that brought these emotions to auditory life. Stirring emotions that should be strived to present in real life. We should strive to make the world the shire: that is our adventure.

This is something Game of Thrones can’t give you. A sense of going home to a place you’ve never been to. Coziness, safety, reassurance. Old friends you’ve dreamed about meeting.

I remember seeing Lord of the Rings a long time ago. On VHS tapes. Cozied up to a fire with hot chocolate in hand during an all day snow storm. I watched all 3 movies one after the other. Hearing this brings me back. I actually teared up. Hearing that flute, Gandalf humming his tune. It brings me back to such a happy place in my life. Thank you Ambient Worlds for a beautiful track and for helping bring back such joyful memories in hard times. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the entire Middle Earth story will forever have a place in my heart. I hope to share and visit Middle Earth time and time again with my children in the future.

For me, sitting on my back porch with the sound of birds, the wind, and music from the shire help bring me to at peace. I hope this does the same to all of you. Enjoy every moment of life.
