"Concerning Hobbits" was the song I played as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day in the backyard, on the grass under the trees. Happiest day, happiest song. Every time I hear it I can close my eyes and remember holding my father's arm as I passed family and friends on my way to my husband's side. Perfection.

In these troubling times it’s hard keep to your head on straight, but being able to take a step back from everything and travel into a world outside of politics and viruses and fires is something that pushes me forward. And the beauty of it is that I can do it whenever I want ‘cause it’s all in my head.

My heart longs for more beauty and reverence, and I find it all in the books, the trilogy and the music. Conveying why I love the Lord of the Rings so much is like trying to explain my relationship to 'a Higher Power' - seemingly few people truly get what I feel, and those are the people that I feel truly understood by in life. I love this community, may it ward Evil and foster goodness and wholesomeness.

"I can't do this, Sam" "I know, it's all wrong, and by rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's just like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes, you didn't want to know the end, for how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't, they kept going, because they were holding on to something." "What are we holding on to, Sam?" It's the middle of the night, I have homework to do, and I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes and a heart so full it almost aches. I'm homesick for a place I've never been and a world that isn't even real. Stories can be so beautiful and have the power to touch something so deep within us, and Tolkien's work stands high above the rest.

To be fair. LOTR is VERY old and over the years we had alot of GREAT to nearly awesome now fantasy-works that made it to the status of being a "alltime classic/legend". Even very new stuff can be fantastic. Fantasy has evolved.... and its not a bad thing. However.... LOTR is literally the Genre-Setter of "High Fantasy".... which makes younger folks think "Its so basic" ... .are they wrong? Yesn't.... compared to newer stuff lotr is indeed very basic fantasy... however.... the reason for that is that its literally THE foundation of fantasy, the inventor if you want to say so. So its not that lotr its basic... its that all modern fantasy is somehow build up upon lotr. LOTR will always be a fantastic masterwork. The "Genre-Setter" of fantasy literature. The "original". The green hills of the shire with its splendid hobbits will always bring peace into my heart.... what a great epos. Im honored that i was able to read your books Mr. Tolkien.

The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it: white shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise as "concerning hobbits" plays in the background Wish you all the best, friend. “And there was Frodo pale and worn, and yet himself again; and in his eyes there was peace now, neither strain of will, nor madness, nor any fear. His burden was taken away. There was the dear master of the sweet days in the Shire. ‘Master!’ cried Sam. And fell upon his knees. In all that ruin of the world for the moment he felt only joy, great joy. Romans 8:18-21 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons [and daughters] of God. For the creation itself was subjected to moral futility-not willingly, but by reason of God who subjected the same in hope, because the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption and decay into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in pain until now.

With tall lush green trees in a nice warm home preferably by or on the mountain as the sun casts its golden veils onto the grassy greens with animals roaming about and people living in harmony with nature. The wind dancing across the sky as the leaves converse with one another and the laughter of innocent children playing their games of adventure. Birds singing a symphony as a river gently tumbles down the mountain ever so gracefully. Yeah. This really is a sense of longing for me. It's also why I love to play open world games with a beautiful world and class system.

The Waikato, with rolling hills, green paddocks, Willow, oak, poplar trees, fog that rolls in and sticks to caves and valley's, clear streams with trout ect. They picked the perfect location for Hobbiton. Check out the south island next time, breathtaking. Fiordland and the southern Alps.

I will be forever grateful to this video and those who commented on it. About a year ago, I was stressed to the max and trying to get through schoolwork. I was looking for study music on KZbin and found this gem. It really got me through it and turned down my anxiety quite a bit. After scrolling through the comment section and reading how much LOTR meant to so many people, I decided to read the books. I wanted that same sense of “home,” and I really got it. I read the books and completely fell in love with the franchise. When I was younger, I watched the movies but didn’t really understand them. I’m so glad I stumbled across this, and now LOTR is one of my favorite series of all time and continues to give me that sense of comfort. Thanks to you all. You invited me to a little corner of your imaginations known and middle earth and I am so grateful for that. God bless :-)

My aunt and uncle were finally able to visit from overseas after nearly 4 years apart because of covid. I prepared everything for them. I tidied up, fluffed the pillows, lit some candles, burned some sage, laid out some cookies and brewed a warm pot of tea. The final touch was playing this on the tv. I can't tell you how beautifully it set the tone for our reunion (': we laughed and cried and spent a good amount of time comparing ourselves to the characters in Hobbit. My aunt said she wished we could all live together in the Shire and my uncle chimed in that if we lived in the Shire, this one evil member of our family would live in Mordor lmao. It was a great time. Thank you for this beautiful video.

The melody takes me back to my teens when the world was still bright and gleaming. Not yet did I realize the shine would wane. The truth of life’s hardships would eventually settle about my shoulders, a dark cloak. To hear the music brings happy contentment while the current worries fade away for a time. Thus is the power of music and memory. Thank you for returning me to that time, if only for a little while.

I was feeling hopeless about a situation in my life and started getting really down on myself and feeling hopeless about myself. I decided to focus on this scene instead. I noticed what looks like a creature in the front on the roof. I focused on them and let the sadness settle some. Then I focused on the cottage in the front and worked on back to the other cottages. I focused on being present with the music and scene and asked myself, “which ‘cottage’ could I see myself living in”. This got me focusing on a positive thought and I let any sad feelings that would creep up, slowly go back away by reminding myself of positive ones instead (which happened several times as I gave myself the thought to focus on this scene and focus on positivity… as I put my energy towards thinking of the delights of this scene of nature, I imagined what it would feel like to be on the cool grass and smell blades of grass, a slight breeze. I asked myself “ what would be one or two of my favorite places to sit on the grass in this scene. And considered times when I might want to be more alone and where I’d go to be alone on the grass. This helped me from remaining sad all night. I’m grateful for this. And I hope somehow what I described can help someone focus on being kind to themself by taking a positive break. I saw hope in this scene

Thank you Ambient Worlds for a beautiful track and for helping bring back such joyful memories in hard times.
