I just wish I could take my wife and daughter away from the seemingly endless barrage of troubles in this world and just settle down in the Shire during the Fourth Age of Middle Earth. Nothing but a quiet life filled with peace and loving my family until my time finally comes. Winter Time in the Shire is about like winter in any other place and you winterize your house by making sure that there aren't any places where air will get in and cover those you find up and the same with the roof as well.... You stock up on firewood for the fireplace and go shopping for a lot of food, water and other necessities, trim the long limbs of the trees around your house and make sure that your carts are put up where they won't freeze and if you have pets make you have them in warm surroundings and that they will be just as warm as you.... If you have close neighbors keep in touch with them in case an emergency arises during the winter and you have plenty of medicine and that you take care of yourself and your family because you maybe stuck inside for several days especially if it snows and out here in the Shire you get lots of snow and the roads get slick and despite the weather getting cold and icy this time of year and the scenery is very, very beautiful it's like a painting come to life and the winter isn't really great weather to stay out in for very long but if you are sitting near a window and just take a look out at the beautiful countryside and it puts a smile on your face and it makes you very proud to live out here in the Shire, your birthplace and your hometown, so stay in keep warm and g'night y'all.
