To turn away from your sin (repent) is to be sorrowful of your sins and recognizing your need for a saviour. A sick person who believes they are well will not go to a doctor, but all of us are sick with sin. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." A wage is like your salary, it's what you deserve after working. Our works are sinful and our wage is death. That's how God sees sin. He's very serious about it, because He is just and righteous. I just cant get over how awesome it is that we get bodies just like Jesus one day!
