Octopath Traveler Lore - Cyrus Albright, The Scholar

Greetings everyone! A quick comment that I forgot to mention in the video. There's a very specific reason why I've been doing an Octopath Traveler Let's Play series on this channel. I did it so that when these lore videos started going out, you all have the resources that you need to fact check my work and hold an intelligent conversation with myself and your peers. Essentially, I want this to be a scholarly endeavor much in the spirit of Cyrus Albright within the game. So please, feel free to use the Let's Play series to enhance your knowledge of the lore and correct me if I'm wrong about anything. Let's dissect this game, together!

@Strangeluv Thanks for the compliment! I'm honestly surprised myself that no one else is doing this. It's quite strange considering how popular Octopath Traveler is. By the way, in case you or anyone else are curious, I'm working on a lore video for Ophilia right now. If all goes according to plan, it should be up within the next few days.

Please keep doing these! I want to see a potential lore video for the 8 previous octopath travelers from many years before the current travelers, they live all around Orsterra and one of them lives at the bottom of Bolderfall in his house.

@VCiPz Thank you for the compliment! I'm familiar with the NPCs you're referring to. They are the ones that you can duel with for a 2% chance at the Battle Tested gear. I'm drawing a blank on their personal stories, so I'll need to reread the lore that you get from when you inquire/scrutinize them. If I see a story with them that I can cover, I'd be more than happy to add them to the list of NPCs whose stories that I want to address. However, I still need to finish up with the protagonists before I can cover any of the NPCs. I have a lot of work to do.

Back when Octopath Traveler released, i did not pick Cyrus as my first character. It took me some time to add him to the team. In the end, he became my most favorite of the bunch. Same goes for Ophilia. Both provide so much lore to help understand the world the story is set in.
