Jaachelyn Gaines the first lyric is "I was frightened of" and tbh to me it seems like that part is her talking about her social anxiety and how she's constantly worried about anything that could go wrong and cause people to laugh at her. The whole song seems to be about her going back and forth between wanting the spotlight and fearing it because of her anxieties. idk just my thoughts. 😄

This is pretty late but this song was about how she was generally and introverted and anxious person, and how she had so many dreams to make it big, she knew she had the potential, but she'd have to be more outgoing and extroverted. so this song is her consoling her(older)self that she can put up this bravado and be brave and break out of her shell and conquer the industry. 😊😊

I mean she probably can. In a live context it's different than being able to do multiple takes in the studio recording. A lot of singers on tour will stick to singing lower or mid-range registers to save their voice (harmonies are sung though playback or other tour vocalists). Can't go all out in one show and then butch it for the rest of the tour.

I agree. And there is something about her songs that make them hard to sing... the intervals and the nuance, maybe. They're complex and require a lot of breath control, switching back and forth between head and chest voice, and trying to sing smoothly through the "break" in between. My vocal range is similar to hers (mezzo-alto)', and the times I've queued up karaoke tracks of hers to try singing them, I've found it very difficult to keep the pitch and timbre of my voice sounding right. I feel for her having to sing them live on a regular basis!
