Item stuck in your coffer? This is a bug introduced in 1.042. Some folks can duplicate those trapped items to quick slots.
WARNING: before you try this: Only attempt with items already stuck in the coffer as any new item you place on there will also become trapped (but you may be able to duplicate them).
Ensure you have 1 empty slot on quick bar
Try moving item out of the coffer.
You won't find it in your inventory but you should find a copy of the item in your quick slot.
Some copied items can be consumed, others show the animation but to not affect.

PS5. Update 1.043 on patch 1.1.681. This bug appeared in 1.042 and was not fixed in 1.043.

From what I've gathered if you have that item in your coffer then when you pick one up it also goes to your coffer. Since there is the current bug where things are stuck in the coffer the only way to use them is to duplicate them to your quick bar.
