If you read all the codex in AC2 you can see that Altair learns a lot from the Apple, if I remember correct he invented the double blade and removed the finger sacrifice etc

The people that make it work have to be creative with it. It was like I always say since origin that. You can make assassin work for any mission. If you are creative. That why old ac fans forgot the fun of being creative if you put hitman style assassin with assassin creed in those games from origin to now. You can be a better assassin than in old games. The animations were quite good in this game... but not as many as in Brotherhood or 3... If I remembered correctly there are over 28 animations just for unarmed (hand-to-hand) combat in AC 3, while in Valhalla there are only 9

I was a huge fan of Unity and I still think it's the best, but i also love Valhalla cause it's basically a mix of the old AC and the new AC except for the parkour obviously. I still love how Ubisoft is making changes and not releasing the same thing

Do you know an Assassin's Creed game that was released for old Java phone around 2007-2008? That was my favorite. It's a complete fast-paced action game in my opinion. It has crossbow, bombs, multifunctional grappling hook that can be used against enemies as well as a traversal tool and The Best part is, it DOESN'T have modern day story. (I like games that let you jump straight into action). When my family first bought me a PC back in around 2011, it was the first game that came to my mind..... I was so disappointed when I finished the PC version without seeing the crossbow & bombs in action (I only saw the crossbow in the opening cutscene) & the modern day story was too long I didn't understand any of it because I was just starting to learn English at the time. Also, we didn't get the throwing bombs (that can explode & kill enemies) up until Revelation.... And to answer your 2nd question, my favorite assassin is Altair too 😁 I wish they remake the game in the future from scratch & hopefully they include functional crossbow, exploding bombs, grappling hook (for traversal & enemies) and all tools that make an assassin looks like an actual assassins. 😁

And I agree with what you've said about how in the first AC game Altair wasn't given the crossbow I was disappointed about that too. People hate on Valhalla too much, aside from a game breaking glitch that almost bricked my console vowing me to never play again until I get a PS5. The 10hs prior to glitch, the game was solid. It is a great Viking game, definitely had cool ideas but this video shows it can be a good Assassin’s Creed game when it wants to be

Compared to Unity (that has been getting huge attention from rework mods) and Origins - there are significantly less stealth oriented videos or even showcases just to reflect how the game butchered your stealth options compared to previous titles.

It's a skill called "Precision Axe Throw" to get it, you'll need to finish a river raid mission in a location called "River Erriff" (it's quite time consuming to get to that point) the skill book will be located in one of the monasteries there

No but they do more damage in stealth. Especially if your higher level as the stealth perks increase your overall damage if you aren’t seen. Not to mention the boosted ability damage perks which makes it completely possible to do what he does in the video. As long as your skillful enough to do these thing of course
