@@lordjay7530it is. It’s “Shield Strike,” and I believe it’s an Ash of War you can detach from the Shield Spear weapon thingamajig you get from the DLC.

​@@SaxSlaveGael it's a decent weapon, but the charge is way too slow. Fighting consort radahn was a nightmare when I used the guts greatsword. Honestly, fighting consort radahn is a nightmare altogether, but more so with the guts sword (can work with the deflecting hardtear)

With one user liking it so much, I had an incentive to do it again with No Hud. And here we are! Ok punching Dragon Satan in the face with a shield is too funny and this is probably the first time I've really seen Shield Strike be used on a regular shield. And I lack your balls to go hudless for any fight in the dlc

Hudless has its pros and cons. It's peak cinema but you can't obviously see key stuff, and you rarely can predict the final blow. It's fun but very challenging.

I think the first one was just a block. But yeah absolutely epic attack to deflect. Godzilla lazer is also hella fun to deflect (was sadly a block) the timing to perfectly deflect both these attacks as sooo tight.

Hey I was one of them 🤣. Honestly, I find Bayle to be one of the most challenging bosses from has ever made. No hitting is never a guarantee due to attacks that are RNG based. I didn't even think deflecfing was possible until I sunk 6 hours practicing! Totally shifted my view on Bayle though absolutely incredible atmospheric boss. But you'll love this... Midir still better 🤣

@@BousserwelNada Haha! Yes I am glad someone recalled my rambling and raging hate for Bayle in the early days of the DLC. Fighting him like this really changed my views. Absolute Cinema of a boss. I still have issues with him, mainly the opening attacks when entering the fog and the random fire direction change, and some poor camera stuff. But all up, I get the hype now.

So after using both for this kinda build, do you prefer the Broadsword or the Longsword. Asking as a Longsword fan who has tried to love the Broadsword but can't get over the lack of a poking R2.
