I’m 42 and I buy retro and boomer shooter games because they simply look cool. When I was a kid pixel art was graphics at its peak. Now it’s an art style I love & think looks really cool!

It is intresting that minecraft - basically lego in 3D - and stardew valley, which the creator even admitted himself, was like a new harvest moon, become some of the biggest things for the kids YET inspired by stuff we ourselves played with as kids. So yeah, the old is still relevant.

I had the most pure stardew experience. Literally a month before it launched I was playing snes harvest moon, and was disappointed we didn't have a game like this but modern. The other harvest moons are good, but don't scratch that same itch the snes one does. Then Stardew came out, and literally filled that void instantly

As someone who works in a retro game store, it seems to me that most kids who are into retro games today just watch a lot of KZbin videos of our generation saying how great they were so now they're all curious about it. But the hype was mostly right after covid and has died down a lot

The Horizon games have some of the most fascinating and deep lore in video games. You can really go down a rabbit hole, the writers put so much care and detail into that world and it's lore. Starting with the Chariot line wiping out the human race.

Totally get Chris I had gotten the Platinum for Demon's Souls and Returnal. Exploring both to the max. Finally got my hands on Elden Ring and just wanted to main line it. No patience. Lost to Margit, the Fell Omen multiple times just quit and uninstalled. Wasn't in the right mindset for something like that.

If it wasn't for Game Pass, I and all my friends would have never played Outriders. I remember thinking that the game got the majority of its player base off of Game Pass, so it depends on how the deal was written up. On a lot of games they have engagement deals.

Is Colin still rocking an iPhone 8? 3:15 If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, I guess. That said, I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro in water, this past Spring, went back to an iPhone 10, and immediately noticed the difference in the available features on some of my apps, and the functionality of the phone. I’m assuming he just loves that home button. 😂
