YO, it's so cool to see a VTuber lore expansion. Most of the time, when VTubers get a redesign, they change their lore around a bit. But this is so much cooler. Even hearing Saruei's stream music when she picked up the gun hits pretty hard. Absolutely love it.

My only gripe is the expository dialogue & introductory monologue, but I guess you needed to convey a lot of the setting in as little time as possible, so I forgive that. Other than that, *EPICK!!!*

I remember when this Vtuber debuted. Was it 2020? 2021? Not sure. But at the time I thought like "damn this production quality is sure ahead of everyone else's / unlike anything I'd seen before..." 8:50 alternative response: "How do I know you won't shoot me and go back to the council as soon as you get the chance?" offers Saruei a gun, after a moment she takes it. The reason show don't tell is such common writing advice is that actions speak louder than words, even after she ostensibly agrees to join them they can't actually know whether she's going to turn on them until she's given the opportunity to do so. Also it implies a lot about the rebellion leader if he personally puts his life on the line to convince her to join them, and taking the gun is a test of her willingness to fight, being hesitant shows that she's become empathetic. Of course it's easy to come in after the fact and say "this is how you do it better", much easier than creating a story and characters and character designs and dialogue from nothing, and this is all pretty amazing.
