My son (he's 11) and I are huge Dark Souls fans. Last weekend, he was having a rough night and got scared (too much SCP lol) and couldn't sleep so I turned on your Compendium sleep video and let him sleep on the couch next to me for the night. He was out in 10 minutes and I shortly followed suit. Fantastic series.

Gael is the most important character in the lore, I suspect, more than is told. Yet no one will have living memory of him but you and his niece, in bits and pieces. This is someone who is old enough to have known much about the gods, become a slave knight and been freed of it. Then ends up being the caretaker of the painter girl, which is obviously related to you know who, because he is trusted that much. He carries the last scrap of the current painted world with him. All things added up and speculated, he is the MVP Grandchad, if I have ever seen one. He points our way to rightly ending the heirs of that would continue the world's decrepit situation, plus saves our champion behinds while wearing assless chaps in a boss fight then refuses to elaborate in order to keep the timeline. You could do a sleep timer in KZbin, sort of. There is a setting that allows you to configure a break reminder. When the timer triggers, the video you're currently watching will be paused by a prompt to take a break. Depending on your device settings, your phone should soon lock itself by the inactivity. I don't think it matters whether what anyone does, for the most part anyway, is 'good or bad'. I mean, we're talking about the literal end of the world, or worlds I guess. What matters is less intent and more outcome. I mean, Gael went on to massacre the Pygmy Lords to get the Dark Soul, and other than being ignorant, you still can't really say that they deserved it. But, he did it to save and give said dying world a real 3rd option. That's more than what anybody in the entire series did up til now Likewise, Elfriede might not have meant ill, but the outcome speaks for itself when all you get left with is a world of rot and defilement. It's no different than those idiots from Londor who confuse being Hollow for being human when it was Gwyn who took what it meant to even be human in the first place and tied it to burning their humanity away with fire just to keep the Age of Fire going in some warped peace. On one level, you might call it being hunan, and therefore 'good', but a future where you 'choose' to be souless, corrupted husks? I wouldn't call that good. We'd just be repeating what Gwyn did, but with the Dark. Nah, fuck that. So, I think us betraying the cycle entirely and doing what we should've done in the first place by letting the world finally die, is about as 'good' as you're gonna get in a series defined by shades of grey painted on crumbling paper dangling over a flickering candle. So? What then? Fuck good and evil and just bring up option 3

Epic I absolutely love these. A bit random but I always thought the sister friede was a daughter of chaos. Assuming velka was the witch of izalith who had 3 daughters who ran the sable church, it would include friede. All 3 would be survivors of izalith, assuming there were more daughters than we saw in the opening cut scene for ds 1. She has burns on her face, maybe from the chaos flame and she knows how to use her black flame form which is probably a type of pyromancy. Probably not enough evidence for a full theory, but still fun to think about.
