With that in mind, mangled or not, allowing for a remake might be worth while. Naturally, getting some of the old crew mixed with some serious fans of the games to work on it might produce the best end results. Equally obvious is to stay away from greedy and abusive companies like EA, Bethesda and the likes. Personally, I'd love to see these games remade and resurfaced.

This is amazing. Yes there is still some Legacy of Kain fans out there. If any series deserves a remake it's LoK. The closest thing we got to a new game was Nosgoth and that got shut down before it could even find a player base.

I’m not one given to obsess over video games, but the opening dialogue to Soul Reaver 2 instantly enthralled me. So much so that I ended up naming an eight week old little black kitten that quite abruptly came into my life Raziel. He very nearly became Merlin but at the last, in a moment of inspiration it suddenly seemed divinely appropriate that he be named Raziel. That was over sixteen years ago, Raziel is now blind and diabetic and it’s tough to realize that I love this little cat as much as I’ve ever loved anything.

I was wondering how vids end up in the recommended section... my previous 2 videos did extremely well, and I checked the analytics and it showed that the majority of views came from "recommended"/"suggested" videos, whereas this one is only at 10% for that... which is likely why the viewcount is so low in comparison to Freddy and Pennywise. @@lucid3944 definitely worth giving it another go. Fairly early on in SR1 it's really easy to have no idea where to go - enemies and any dialogue is a good clue. Abuse the weapons you can pick up in the early game as the combat (esp in 2020) is going to be dated AF. SR2 is much better, and Defiance better again. if you opt to watch rather than play i recommend TheElectronicBasement (TEB) playthrus as they get all the context and gloomy atmosphere from the environments leading up to the cutscenes. SR2 is where the story really starts fitting together

Great work! I loved watching it shape up into Raziel. In general the LoK franchise has one of the best written dialogue in any franchise I've ever played. Simon Templeman, Tony Jay, Michael Bell gave performances that should honestly be the envy of any franchise out there, video game or otherwise.

It's better if they didn't. I highly doubt they would have captured the original brilliance, sophisticated, theatrical dialogue, amazing voice acting and captivating story, all at once. I saw footage (probably most fans did) of unreleased Dead Sun - it would be an abomination and an affront to the legacy of those titles (flashing tits, f... bombs every few lines - so modern gaming).

Not to mention Voice actor for Elder god died (ah that Tony Jay voice). Also writing for this series is just like out of XV- XVI centry (in a good way). The way characters speak and act is like from old fable rather that something that is made today. May be if we would rewind time and got 3 milion copies of this game... may be we would get that last one and finish that story. The best way for it to work it should be rebooted completly. With good writing team and of corse CONSISTANT GAME PLAY. Preaty much just make it something akin to Devil may cry with some Zelda system, to reflect series as a whole. But looking at how Square Enix made Final Fantasy 7 reboot with all this padding.... I hope they just give rights to someone who cares about the series and just SE will let them do what they want instead of going with EA "we need to include more demographic to this game" devs "what casual, pro, homosexcuals, feminist..." EA "All of them"

@Murtons Well, in overall, you're right. I was referring to bad modern gaming. This Dead Sun I mentioned, while had quite interesting concept, it was poor when compared to original. I also do agree that this series needs a remake, a fully fledged one, with preferably all original cast onboard (without Tony Jay unfortunately). I highly doubt anyone else than Michael Bell or Simon Templeman would have captured the essence of their respective characters. But I have some doubts if it would be profitable enough to gain enough money to get the final we were always waiting for. Properly made it would definitely bring fans onboard. But with appropriate marketing, who knows... Sadly, I guess, we'll never know.

Hope someone out there wants him and will give him a good home - N Update: The one and only original sculpture of this character, shown in the video, sold after 2 years of sitting in the garage. Oddly enough, I've received several requests for him since, and I am puzzled as to why they all came at the same time, but I had nothing for 2 years.... If enough people are keen to own one, I am capable of making a new, improved version of this character in platinum silicone, but it would be vastly more expensive and a difficult project - hard to justify doing again unless I had several people on board to buy one. God, while doing my yearly run through with the series I came across this. As someone who grew up in the PS1 era I am so thrilled to see this! Legacy of Kain will always be my favorite game series, going back to the Blood Omen days all the way to the end with Defiance. You definitely did an awesome job

Isn't LoK owned by Square Enix these days though? Crystal Dynamics developed LoK, yes, but it was Eidos Interactive (now absorbed by Square Enix) who were the publishers, so I believe they own the rights for LoK.

KAIN UPDATE: Some sculpture targets I'd like to do, and some of you would like me to do, are very expensive to create, but not "trendy" enough to pay for their creation from adsense alone (it could cost upwards of a thousand to make one, and the Raziel video hasn't even generated 200$). Raziel forever ! He looks great man . I felt like the game was never completed cause in blood omen Kain fights an older version of himself without the reaver blade and in soul reaver raziel is seen in a future scene with a red spirit blade known as the Kain blade so Kain and raziel eventually become one . Well I just thought that fans would like to know this truth also I heard yanos would have made a return as well but so many things happened that the story was just left unfinished.

They can finish it if they want to - but I think it's so far in the past that the whole series should be rebooted - but they should rehire Simon Templeman, Michael Bell, and Rene Aberjonois. Unfortunately the other key characters have left us.... but those 2 are still healthy and active. I tweeted the pics and video link to crystal dynamics the other day, so feel free to retweet it at them. Probably the only way to get their attention. I was really hoping the video would perform better, as that would be a good advertisement for them to encourage remaking the series... seems too few are familiar with the game now, but I am pleased to see those of you (like yourself) are really enthusiastic. Made it worth it. That and this statue looks absolutely incredible in person.

LoreCraft well just to let you know square enix currently owns the rights to the legacy of kain series they bought edios 2009 and that same year they started development on a new legacy of kain game witch would be called legacy of kain dead sun with a single player mode and an online multiplayer mode you could actually find a 32 min demo on youtube of it it was going to be on ps3 ps4 windows and the xbox360 but it was cancelled in 2012 but the multiplayer mode survived and be came its own game called nosgoth it was a free to play game 4v4 it had an open beta from 2015 to 2016 witch i played it was an ok game so thats where we stand right now but there are still some fan games in development that look really good i highly recommend you look up soul reverent a fan made soul reaver remake currently in the works and it looks amazing and as far as i could see it's the closes thing we got at the moment for a new legacy of kain game and some of their 3d models should help you with your kain sculpture

In blood omen Kain gets to mobieous new time line near the end of the game then he fights warriors from different time periods and then mobieous says something like and times yet to come and there is a vampire that looks exactly like Kain that you fight against so I figured this was a future Kain from a different time line . I thought maybe since raziel had the Kain reaver at the last vision in the time chamber then somehow kain and raziel had become one ... And that's the story that remained untold .how did I come to this conclusion I just finished replaying the legacy of Kain series and blood omen was last so my memory is fresh on this one . But you are free to believe whatever you want. I wasn't trying to troll you man I was basing it on what I noticed and what many had forgotten .but don't take my word for it go re-explore nosgoth and find out for your self maybe you find something I haven't found . Have fun man☺

There's one thing I love about the game itself. The being that spared Raziel from total disillusion, the voice actor in question did narration in a cartoon I watched as a kid called Skeleton Warriors. I do know the voice actor is also in Blood Omen as I've recently started a play through video on KZbin. I am less impressed with the gameplay but the voice acting is quite amazing and besides, Raziel himself is quite the story teller and I love this line "Death would be a release, next to this travesty"! So much emotion, so much drama. I confess I didn't proceed far enough but I enjoyed the dialogue up to that point and the main theme is absolutely GLORIOUS!:D Thx for the video display of your work, it was a jaw dropping experience!}:[

Another spot on sculpt! I am amazed that you were able to paint lit with just UV. Whenever I draw, I usually have two fluorescent lights and a magnifying glass. By the way, how long does it take for your sculpts to dry before you can paint them?

The drying stage is what takes the most time, unfortunately. Days, sometimes 5 days or even longer, depending on size and thickness. It really slows everything down. But the painting i dry rapid with the blow dryer :D and thanks for the kind words!

That would be incredible! I want a Kain game where it's open world like the Witcher 3. They could remake Blood Omen just like that, exploring the world, side quests, etc. Incredible idea. They could get into the back story of how and why Kain created Raziel - a whole twisted plot. And I want Vorador to have more of a role too. So much can be done with this.

Open world, yes, by all means. It would be fantastic to freely explore Nosgoth, as long as they keep the fantastic story and characters coming. Just... NOT sandbox. That would be a huge mistake. We don't need a "Soul Reaver's Creed", or a "Far Omen" or anything like that. :)
