The new Boros Artifact Land will fit in here quite nicely.

While Idol of Oblivion definitely works well within the deck, I believe the only Strixhaven precon that includes it in the decklist is the Quandrix deck. Having all 5, I was confused when I knew my wife played Idol of Oblivion when I was piloting Witherbloom and she Quandrix. Excellent video, helping me finish the Lorehold upgrade very nicely, cheers!

Great Vid you guys. I’m currently building him now. As a long time artificer running Daretti I modeled it after him. Draw cards and discard cards is a great engine. Other mentionable cards that might interest a few folks out there are: OG Squee - Card advantage Alhammerets Archive - doubles your draw. i.e. (Discard one draw 4.) Swords of X and Y - non-legendary ! Quicksmith Genius - Faithless Looting on legs. Perpetual Timepiece - fill your gy and then save it from a Bog effect.

I definitely think people need to add these cards to their deck that have been all stars in my deck personally: 1. Coveted Jewel - This card is quite possibly the best mana rock you can make copies of in your deck. It’s a good political item if you like politics and if you don’t you can sacrifice it before your opponents are able to hit you so only you are able to get value from the card. I had a turn where I had Anointed Procession out and Osgir and made 4 copies of it on turn 5 and had a potential of 15 mana and drew 15 cards in Boros (Lorehold). 2. Ugin’s Nexus - Taking extra turns in Boros colors is unusual but this card is fantastic in this deck because if it’s in your graveyard you can essentially take 2 extra turns if you play your cards right. 3. Karn, the Great Creator - His ability to grab things out of exile and reuse them again is absolutely insane and it makes the card a strong contender to be a must include in the deck.

I Hope people see this message, *Treasure Nabber and Osgir* ... treasure nabber gets mana rocks from opponents, and Osgir sacs it thus de-ramping your opponent

Welding jar is severely underplayed in this deck. It's a great way to rescue your artifacts, or even ward off a removal spell just by threat of activation.

If you put in Pull From Eternity you should also consider Karn, the Great Creator. Karn obviously isn’t as good because he only puts it into your hand.

You've failed to mention that Osgir enables infinite extra turns, or even just a Time Stretch for 6 mana, when Ugin's Nexus is discarded into the graveyard from hand/milled there. Copy it, and, in response to the state-based action of the Legend Rule, pay one and sac the other copy to Osgir. Both activate and, since it's no longer on the field, you get two sequential extra turns. Throw in an Isochron Scepter with Pull from Eternity (which was basically made for this deck) imprinted on, and you have an infinite turn engine on your hands. Infinite turns. In Boros. *BOROS!*
@caseywellington47613 жыл бұрын
Worth noting: technically you can't respond to the legend rule, since it's a state based action. It just happens, without any gap for responses.
@thomascollins56223 жыл бұрын
@@caseywellington4761 I think I misphrased it; the combo works, the former judge that plays at my LGS pulled it off, and the current judge said it worked.

@@thomascollins5622 Then those people need to reconsider their position: 704. State-Based Actions 704.1. State-based actions are game actions that happen automatically whenever certain conditions (listed below) are met. State-based actions DON'T USE THE STACK. 704.4. Unlike triggered abilities, state-based actions pay no attention to what happens during the resolution of a spell or ability. 704.5. The state-based actions are as follows: 704.5j If a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners’ graveyards. This is called the “legend rule.” I'm sorry to hand to ya, but the Ugin "take a another turn" does NOT work during the legend-rule 704.5. This is coming from the official WotC CompetitiveRulings.
