That and he's not thinking about Rory about anything. Didn't care if she was with them when they got married, didn't think how she would feel about getting married, and just generally rushing the relationship, partially because he feels threatened that Luke is around.

I know that Emily was over stepping, what with how she was trying to push Lorelai into holding a wedding ceremony that she didn't want, but my heart does kind of break for her a little bit when I hear how excited she was asking if Lorelai was pregnant. She was such a Lorelai/Christopher shipper at that point, and so happy at the brief thought of having more grandchildren. I am still upset that Luke and Lorelai didn't have their twins.

To be fair even people that ship Lorelai/Chrostopher have to admit it was good she wasnt pregant, in the end Lorelai would have been a single mum again.

I disagree, Christopher at this point in the show has been a single father and he has Gigi, why would he leave Lorelai? He left when he was 16 because he was young and 16, but he is not 16 anymore, he is a grown man who has been a single father and he married Lorelai. I have said this so many times Christopher is not the devil that people think he is or want him to be.

He had a nanny or had to call Lorelai for help, and him looking after her is his duty as her mum left so he had no choice unless she ended up in care. Yes I agree Christopher was young, but he didn't try make up for the years he lost with Rory and still always acted like she was just some baggage he had to see as she came with Lorelai, he always loved Lorelai more than Rory and that is honestly sad. I don't think he's a devil but I don't think he should be praised for what he did when he had no choice in the matter and he barely did anything, most of it was someone else. Just my opinion, I think season 7 made him lose a lot of development he had though and made him pushy and clingy when he was starting to become a better person.

Lorelai is right. She and Christopher are already married and they don't need to get married again. But they shouldn't let this little disagreement to break them up as Emily advised her. If anything, Emily should have respected the elopement and not insisted on repeating the wedding

I don't think having a wedding broke them up. It was a lot of things plus Lorelai was unhappy and Chris has the tendency to leave when things don't go his way.

Spoiler alert I never understand why Amy and Dan had her cheat on Luke before they quit the show for a year. He did so much for her…he gave her $30,000 to fix up the inn, he built her an ice skating rink, he built her a chuppa, etc. I don’t know how they would have handled season 7 but I am sure it wouldn’t have been easy to get Luke to forgive Lorelai after that. I felt sorry for the guy he wrote season 7 because they left a big mess for him to clean up. People say that he screwed everything up but I liked the last episode in season 7. It was so much more hopeful than the ending Dan and Amy picked. I don’t think they should bring it back unless she has a son and names it Richard. There should not be any more Gilmore girls…and Rory should not get back with Jess. He wanted to have sex and she wasn’t ready and was really aggressive. I don’t know how people can just pretend like that never happened and he was perfect for her. The only part of the revival that felt really true to the show to me was fall. I think they should have made summer all about Luke and Lorelai wedding. Once it happened, it was so underwhelming. 😮
