3 x Analogue = 3A, so there must be a digital module coming for the full 4AD

Huge fan of Expert Sleepers and these modules sound very nice. Don't love the doepfer-filter-style form factor though, and this video illustrates why. It makes it impossible to avoid blocking access to knobs with cables. Even right angle plugs will end up blocking access to whatever is next to them, if you can fit them in the first place. The Disting EX does it right. Anyway, thanks for the demo vid!

impossible is a bit hyperbolic but i can see your point if building a skiff. However, when it comes to cases with verticality, like the 6U A100, one could consider the doepfer filter form factor as a huge benefit since it keeps knobs and patching in vertical rows. One could place modulation and utilities in one row, and voice, fx and mixing in another, ignoring the lack of ergonomics since it's a constant. Even still, in a 6U case, you could even place your MI form factor modules on top and use doepfer-filter style modules on the bottom. If you were to place your MI form factor modules in the lower row, you'd still have the same issues as you've presented with the doepfer-filter form factor. Regardless, longer, vertical patch cables seem to solve the problems presented in most instances that i've come across.

@@eph_kni I would love to see a rig with multiple full voices (sequencer / MIDI2CV) > [ VCO > VCF + EG > VCA + EG > FX ] x 2 > Mixer > Out that uses the vertical arrangement approach and manages to avoid blocking any knobs or wasting HP with blanks / empty segments. Yeah, you can use extra long cables and braid them or tie them and keep things clean, but it's hard to deny that the vertical layout is less ergonomic than jacks strictly on the bottom or top. That said, I'll take the vertical layout over the Make Noise "jacks and knobs anywhere and everywhere" approach any day.
