I saw an interview with Loren soon after the event. She was very gracious towards to the act that beat her, but she did say she was surprised by Mel B's comment. While she didn't blame Mel B she did wonder if it threw a doubt in the audience's mind. I think it did. Mel also threw some shade at Pack Drumline. On the night I think she was aiming to get Simon. I just feel very sorry for Loren. This song and Never Enough in the first round were two of the best performances she has ever given and two of the best anywhere. She at least deserved a shot in the final.

@@davidherbert8140 I was able to find that story, but if you google her name and parade (magazine), you’ll see at the top a “tylerpaper website” story on Loren Allred on the Difficult Road that Led Her to 'AGT: Fantasy League. It really goes in depth as to her history. Very enlightening.

I also wasn’t sure on the song choice the 1st time I heard it, but between hearing it a few more times and seeing all the positive comments about it, I feel it was a very good choice, mainly because everybody knows the song. Loren finished 2nd and was robbed. She and Lucy Thomas are my favorite singers. I didn’t like the format with the audience getting to save only 1 act out of the remaining 8 in each semifinal . The judges have all the power with their Golden Buzzers and are picking 8 out of the 10 finalists, and the audience /fans having 2. I prefer 12 finalists with the audience getting at least 4 of them, so Loren would have made the finals. Too much politics here.
