A simple question? Why do university professors try to make the concepts too difficult to understand? Do they enjoy watching students struggling to understand a simple concept? Good video. Something that strikes me though, is that "the line of perfect equality" really should be called something less misleading, like "the hypothetical line of proportional equality" (less catchy I will admit). I say this because (it appears) there's nothing intrinsically good about (eg) 50% of the population earning 50% of the income; that is, it implies there's some magic in the 1:1 ratio that makes it desirable over other ratios. I assert... If a persons needs are met, that is there's food on their plate, they've a regular income, leisure time, a degree of consumer spending etc; it matters less if their neighbour has twice as much, or ten times as much as they do. It might not even matter at all. :)
