Lorenz is a pushy, snobbish teenager who does eventually reevaluate his behavior when confronted. Meanwhile Sylvain actually has a darker, more real and insidious negative attitude just lurking below the surface. Their Supports with Dorothea help highlight this the most, since she's got similarly vitriolic attitudes to Sylvain that she hides behind similarly flirty behavior.

Even moreso, Lorenz gave up any semblance of a normal upbringing (even by noble standards) because he was being prepped to be the leader of the Alliance. And right when he's coming of age, Claude shows up. Claude has lived in Almyra his entire life and doesn't truly know the Alliance, it's people, the struggles they face. Claude just wants to revamp the entire system while not considering people like Leonie and her village. Even if Claude unified the territories, there will still be bandits, and as a Noble: they're the ones that need to step up and protect the common folk. Being a Noble to Lorenz is a duty and obligation. And then he softens in the Golden Deer route. They're all in a fight to survive and not be overrun. He sees Claude plan and rally allies. And Lorenz admits that Claude would be a better leader. Lorenz let's it slip that if was his family that paid Jeralt and his mercenaries. When Leo wants to know why she was never told this, Lorenz never considered to mention it because it's not the place of a noble to say "We did this for you and now you owe us."

Yo Lysithea did nothing wrong. Raphael was being patronizing as hell and she obviously was in the middle of something. He couldn't read the room, so he got called out for it. They also clearly aren't really friends (more acquaintances) so calling himself her "big bro" is also definitely weird. And THEN he said she was in a "rebellious phase" indicating once again that he thought of her as just young and immature, which is exactly the attitude she hates. Justice for my girl

I personally think it’s a mindset he kept from home. Given he has a younger sister himself, the big Bro thing was entirely a slip of the tongue, perhaps not used to talking to people other then his sister that’s younger. Like you said they are barely acquaintances so he’s not in practice of talking to her yet. I’m sure if he realized this he’d have felt sorry, but yes, he’s in the wrong for those things. This is my opinion though, hope it helps?
