We have to keep ignoreing the anti tank mines just for the sake of the most hilarious and random lore Just by pure coincidence in canon we constanlty failed to be able to mass manufacture anti tank mines

I think the real point is we can't mass produce these anti tank mines, the standard SAEF troops no doubt dig holes and put anti tank mines in them, orbital mine dropping is a lot more resource intensive

I was once a child in intensive care in hospital, and once again when I was 18 years old. I gladly, no, happily deployed to Vernen Wells to help those who are in the situation I was in. I was helped as a kid to survive, only right I repay the favour. For Democracy and those who can't fight themselves!

It makes an incredible amount of sense to do so canon wise. Helldivers are not pragmatic soldiers, they are untrained morons, but damn it all to hell Super Earth gave them a cape and told them they were heroes, and they are willing to dive into hell to prove it. Saving childrens was the heroic, selfless choice, and Helldivers would jump wholeheartedly into it to live up to their name.

Just goes to show that the helldivers community would rather go out of its way to liberate a planet that offers literally no gameplay reward instead of trying to get those stupid anti-tank mines. Hopefully the devs learn their lesson and scrap that was worthless explosive frisbees and move on to something better. #FuckTheAntiTankMines

This is like the 3rd time theyve denied us the mines i just come on. See theres no new content at all then just quit. The game and hype around it has fallen off so hard.

They haven't "denied" us anything. They tried to give us 2 tries and we failed. Then the third time they literally gave us an easy option: item or no item. I guarantee you with every fiber of my being that they intended us to pick the mines. Hell when they first introduced it and the airburst they made the joke "only one weapon can be saved, oh and the civilians too..also important...." So I can confidently say they fully expected us to go for mines. But the community is amazing and instead chose to make a lore changing move. A move that mind you directly benefited real children. We will get the mines eventually but instead of malding over a niche stratagem maybe take a second to appreciate how the devs allow us to shape the lore of the game in real time.
