​@@wildwyatxbox It would be badass if the Army was like a Roman Legion. Serving in larger Heavy Infantry Units, complimentary of the HellDiver's Small Unit tactics and Light Infantry. Throw in some veterans or even a Centurion rank equipped with power armor for the fun of it- The Army(Legion) takes on the enemy from the front, while the HellDivers drop in on top or behind em. Warfare perfected.

i like to imagine that canonically the Helldivers are comprised of about 40% goobers fresh off basic training, 35% relatively seasoned helldivers who have seen some shit and survived some battles, another 20% who are legitimately elite specialists, and then there's the malevelon creekers and meridia marauders the ministry of truth has recommended that I do not go into further detail on the latter type

The way I see it, the SEAF Army is like the Imperial Guard or a regular army, lots of troops, tanks and heavy equipment, powerful, but ponderous and slow. They have access to all weapons the Helldivers have, but are available at the squad and platoon level as opposed to the Helldivers that have access to specialized and advanced weaponry at the individual level. The Navy is the space force, it has the big ships and allows the other branches to fight in other planets or opens up planets for invasions or defends planets from invasion. The Planetary Defense Forces are the local defense forces, they are mostly peace keeping forces, and can act as a buffer until either the Helldivers or the Army arrive (most likely the Helldivers). The Helldivers are semi-independent, using their small but quick super destroyers to reach planets fast and have quite a significant immediate punch for an invasion or defense, while supporting the same said helldivers whose primary goal is enemy asset and support denial. The Helldivers don't truly fight the war, that is the purview of the Army, but the Helldivers eliminate the enemies ability to support said war effort and disrupt the enemy behind enemy lines, making the Army's job significantly easier.

In the next update I would really like to see something strange happen to helldivers that survive multiple missions. Like make the PTSD aspect more common depending on how many missions a helldivers has been on and maybe even a warbond that’s only accessible after a helldivers has survived multiple missions and ultimately some kind of non glorious ending to divers that survive too long (e.g traitor status and death by firing squad)

We gonna ignore the lore inconsistency of the sheer amount of Helldivers. It's the stormtrooper paradox all over again. Both extremely skilled yet fodder in a good amount of instances, and extremely elite and rare yet they are everywhere at once in great numbers; when the imperial army [read Super Earth army and Colonial Defence Force] should be the main planetside forces. Then there are the massive super destroyers. Its fine if we don't see the crew but why only four Helldivers (why so much resourse for so few) or only 4 at a time (gameplay choice)

Most are in cryo pods and having only 4 deployed in waves with limited deployments reduces the chances for them to lose morale to losses, as well as setting an operational and mission budget for efficiencies sake... But also as you said it's just gameplay limitations.

We deploy behind enemy lines in territory that used to be ours, hence why we are limited to certain areas of a planet due to the surrounding areas being an actual warzone between the enemy forces occupying the planet and the Super Earth Army and any remaining Colonial Defense Force Soldiers. There was even a major order at some point for the automatons which was telling us to give the main Army an opening to lead an attack and takeover on the occupied territory by completing the order. Pretty sure it’s common knowledge now but you can also see the bodies of the CDF soldiers littered all over the place in the territory you’re deployed in. The reason HDs are so numerous is likely due to how insanely large the human population is, probably upwards of 50-80 billion people due to the colonization of the surrounding planets allowing for more space to reproduce.

Basically a carbon copy of the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire. Both Rebels and Imperials have colonial defense force(the Army), Marines(Imperial Stormtroopers and Rebel Pathfinders) and Navy(Including the ships and starfighters)

One is more intelligence based, the ministry, and the other is the actual armed forces. The ministry doesn't nessicarily contain military personnel, whereas the SEAF is going to be primarily military personnel. I imagine it would be similar to what we have irl.

Helldivers operate like Halo's Orbital Drop Shock-Troopers. They drop behind enemy lines and soften up hostile defences and infrastructure to prepare the battlefield for the normal army unit's advance. Local civil PDF units will hold the planet after the expeditionary forces leave for the next front holding territory and mopping up any small pockets of resistance not large enough for the army to have to deal with but not expected to hold out against a full scale invasion indefinitely but enough to slow it down a bit for help to arrive. At least, that's my theory anyway.
