Tough, smart and determined, Loretta (Lee) Ford earned her nursing stripes long before she teamed up with a doctor in the early 1960s and coined her claim to fame. At the then-CU School of Nursing, the pair developed the first-ever Nurse Practitioner program, forever changing the profession.
