A funny story.....my parents went to see Loretta at a small venue that had long tables . I was just a baby so I was not there, but they talked about it over the years and would just laugh. Anyway she had just came out with a song Called "You aint woman enough to take my man" well while she was singing it some woman yelled " I BET I CAN " and everyone started laughing. Well Loretta threw down the microphone , hiked up her long skirt and went over the tables and started flailing on the woman ! The band had to pull her off of the woman. The woman ran out of the place , Loretta went back to the stage and started singing like nothing happened LOL.

Lynn Anderson - Rose Garden I actually met Lynn Anderson back in 1996 or 1997, she performed the national anthem at the Kitsap county fair and rodeo in Washington state. I was in the US Navy at the time and I went to the fair for the rodeo and they did the most amazing grand entry I have ever seen. They had 8 American flags from different eras of our nations history carried by former Miss Rodeo USA winners and as each flag was carried into the arena they talked about the era it was from as the former Miss Rodeo winner rode around the arena before taking their place in the arena, after the 8 flags were in place, 4 on each side of the arena and facing the center line of the arena, the current Miss Rodeo of the time rode in carrying a 9th flag and up the center before circling the arena and returning to her position in front of the announcer booth and facing down the center line of the arena as the announcers talked about the current era our country was in. It was then that Lynn Anderson made her appearance riding the outskirts of the arena 1 and a half times before stopping her horse facing the 9th flag, she then began singing the national anthem while having her horse sidestep as she sang and getting her horse to complete a full 360 circle around current Miss Rodeo USA who was on her horse and carrying the 9th flag and finished the national anthem as she finished the circle while keeping her horse facing the flag. When the rodeo was over I was walking around the fair and recognized Lynn Anderson sitting at a table alone and politely asked if I could join her, she accepted and we talked for over an hour. We talked about the Grand entry and her performance of the national anthem and how amazing it was and we talked about her songs. She understood I was a fan, but that I was being respectful and did not draw attention to her, it was a really surreal experience and she was such an amazing person. After talking for over an hour I actually got a hug from her before we parted ways, it was an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. I think she appreciated the fact that even though I was a huge fan, I didn't gush and make an idiot of myself, but rather talked to her as a person, showing her the respect she deserved.

Loretta Lynn knocked one of her husbands front teeth out when she found out he was messing around with another woman, so you better believe she wouldn`t be too bashful about giving another woman a taste of it. He never had the tooth fixed. Said it was a reminder to behave.. A lot of country girls are not exactly shy little shrinking violets. One of them gets good and mad about something, a wise man treads lightly until she cools down. 🙂

Doolittle Lynne married Loretta Webb when he was 20 years old and she was 13. Sadly that was perfectly legal back then as long as they had parental consent. And she's not joking, he certainly did his share of catting around on her. But she truly loved him and divorce was considered a big sin back then. There's many well known instances of her catching Doo (as she called him) in the act, but she stayed with him because she loved him.
