Hi Salvatore, You put out a good, interesting video here! For people like us, that can't get over there to visit, you've made it easy. I have seen the inside of her house, in little glimpes, in some shows, but you showed us a complete detailed view. I went to see the original Coalminer's Daughter movie, back when I was 14 years old, in 1980, when it first came out in the theaters. It was me, and my friend Kimmy, from church, and we were dropped off at the movie theater, right after church, to go see it. In 1987, when I was working for an elderly lady, I used to read books to her , sitting in a chair by her bedside, and I read to her one of Loretta Lynn's autobiography books, about her life story. I enjoyed it so much, and so did the elderly lady. When I got to certain parts of the book where there was suffering, I couldn't help crying, and I was trying to control myself, so the little old lady wouldn't see me, but I couldn't help it. The elderly lady said that she recognized, and could relate to some of what Loretta was saying, because when she herself was poor growing up, all they had to brush their teeth was a piece of wood, that had been frayed at the top, as bristles, and they'd use just baking soda, and salt, as toothpaste! Now, my grown daughter and I have a DVD of the movie Coalminer's Daughter, and we watch it over, and over! We love and respect Loretta, and my daughter says that she understands why Loretta was so jealous of Doolittle, because my daughter knows how possessive an Aries woman is!! 😃 Some day, when I am well again, I'd like to visit the country, and walk all over those beautiful acres of land, like I once did many years ago in the country. Tell Loretta we said hi, and she's a beautiful lady. (Oh, and I have lots, and lots of videos of her singing, in my KZbin history). Bye.🌹🌺🌻❤

Nice tour, I went to her original home place, in butcher holler, awhile back, I don't live far from there, roads are, very narrow,

I'd love to visit her original house. I've heard that they give tours of the house in Butcher Holler. The roads to Loretta's house in Hurricane Mills are also very narrow. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have a wonderful day.

I wonder why she settled in Tennessee and not where she was born in Kentucky? Seems strange....I love both states.....R.I.P. great lady.....you are the standard that all other female country singers strive for.....

Yes, I don't know the reason why they chose this location either. I know that her husband was the one that helped make the decision. Loretta will be greatly missed. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video my video. Have an amazing day!

I've been to the very first place she ever played for money, professionally. Custer Washington, about 5 miles from the Canadian border. Tiny little town.

Salvatore, that is a time in history that I am afraid we will never be able to live again. Simplicity is gone.Neighbors helping neighbors, visiting the sick,or just an old fashioned neighborhood picnic, not in the big city .I really miss living in the mountains, where people are friendly and real. Oh, how I miss that.
@Dr.SalvatoreVinciguerra5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Frank I agree with your thoughts about old fashioned Southern country living. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have a wonderful day.

I wish I would have known what you describe. I live in a neighborhood that is not cordial. Everyone is always trying to make trouble for others. Have a clique of 6 houses around me who are just rotten. I long for Mayberry. I have lived here 28 years and no neighbor has spoken to me or answered me when I spoke to them. You were blessed to have even known that briefly

@@tootsiebabe3555 I feel your disappointment . Jacksonville FL . is worse than any place I have lived. I wish you could live in the small town I was born in . Nice people , beautiful scenery ,and above all else , respect. Do you remember a t.v.show called The Walton's, that is almost perfect for how we lived in my younger days. Hard work , church , Sunday picnics, love and respect for others.I miss it a lot.

Loretta Lynn's dude ranch is run by people who leased it from the Lynn family over 20 years ago! The only reason the store is there and all those buildings so they can make money off of admission and photographs of Loretta Lynn that she has signed! I started out being $5 then they went up to 10 and I'm sure now they're either 20 or 30! But the antebellum looking house that looks like Tara from gone with the wind is no longer used by Loretta or any of her family that lives around with her! They built a huge mansion way off in the woods where no one could find it! The reason they did this is because people were constantly coming up to their house the antebellum house climbing the fence running to the front door trying to climb through the windows trying to find Loretta Lynn! It terrified her children and her as well because you never knew who it could possibly be! So they moved off into some secluded place and even the driveway into the new place is hidden!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful information with us. I want to go back soon and make another video. I think they said Loretta now lives in Nashville because of her health and drives in for special occasions. I appreciate you watching my video. Have an amazing day!

@@Dr.SalvatoreVinciguerra Well, unfortunately the singer has passed away. I'm sure you know. But all those buildings including the house where she was supposedly brought up are replicas they're not real! And I don't know if the restaurant's still there when you turn in to go to her house but be careful because you may get food poisoning it's so horrible!

@Dr.SalvatoreVinciguerra4 жыл бұрын
Hello Kristy, Loretta lives in Nashville at the moment. She moved out of Hurricane Mills a few years ago because her house is located very remote area far away from a hospital if she needs it. Loretta does visit her old house and recently sang at the 4th of July Celebration at the concert venue on her property in Hurricane Mills. Thanks for watching my video. Have an amazing day!
