(sings) "Do you wanna build a hover-tank?" I think you could do worse as an opening line to a Rassalhagian. Sure they might hate your regime and your existence, but deep down they do wanna build a hover-tank, and keep the Kuritans on their side of the border. And long term, if any clan is going to integrate with the locals, it'd be the Ghost Bears.

Because Elementals can't ride on all those conventional 'Mechs the Bears keep making, this is really useful. Firepower comparable to the Goblin & Bandit but a bit too squishy for comfort.

Hello CR. Having reports from Ghost Bear territory, and now your substantiation of Comm-Star having a similar vehicle, the Hellsport Mek Werks (not mis-spelled, the founder was a former Steiner citizen), at the direction of the Mech Design Bureau of the Ghost Lions Legions, a similar vehicle for the use of Stygian Commonwealth armed forces was researched, developed, and put into production. The vehicle's 'official' designation is the 'Faux-Tyr' (false Tyr), but the troops commonly refer to it as 'The Sled'. The Faux-Tyr has the same armoring, engine, and other equipment of the Tyr reported to be in use by the Ghost Bear forces. As to weaponry, the Faux-Tyr has the same dual MRM-7 launchers of the Kurita version of the vehicle, and the same two tons of ammo storage. But, instead of a single MG per side, Clan Tech weaponry has provided Clan MGs that weigh only one quarter ton per MG. By reducing the Ammo carried to half a ton, a full ton was available to provide four Clan Tech MGs, two per side. The vehicle is now in production at a site off Hel, at another of the colonies of the Stygia System, and they are hovering off the assembly line as fast as possible and directly into the hands of Stygian Commonwealth Armed Forces units and Reserves, with a few making their way to add to the TO&Es of some Legions. Diana McFairlain, Head Mech Tech, Ghost Lions Legions Hellsport Mech Museum Stygian Compact Author's Comments: a brief overview of the drawn vehicle has brought a couple of things to comment upon. The front hatch (obviously for emergency use by the Driver) is placed in the plenum skirt of the hovercraft. It should properly be placed on the side of the 'boxy' structure above that supports the turreted weaponry. That structure, and the 'cargo' area behind it should be a bit 'taller' as drawn. As is, it looks too low roofed to allow Battle Armor entry and movement within. Increasing the height a bit would not interfere with the firing arcs of the turreted weapons, since they would also be raised the same amount due to making the 'cockpit block' area taller as well. Other than those two things, I find little to find fault with in the design. Aesthetically, I would have drawn the 'cockpit block' as more 'sloped' in the hopes of deflecting AC rounds, MG fire, and lessen the impact of SRMs impacting upon it. But, that's more of an 'artistic' choice, over totally redesigning the vehicle. Frank Smedley.
