I love all of your notions and fabric, and your video tutorials, especially this one! Canning jars remind me of my Grandmother making her delicious spaghetti sauce! She cooked it for HOURS, and her house smelled so Good! She would then can the sauce, placing it in quart canning jars. What a treat to receive one of these jars of sauce, but even better was eating a plate of spaghetti with her homemade sauce ladled over that spaghetti! Yum yum…thank you for allowing me to relive those special memories with my Grandma….all due to a canning jar!!

I love everything you do, they make me remember happy times with my mom and grandparents. We used all the canning jars we could get our hands on in the fall, canning fruits, vegetables and jams. My grandma used to cut fabric from worn out clothing to cover the jar lids and place in a basket with fresh picked fruit and produce. We used to take it to church on Sundays and give them to families that were in need. Made me feel so good. Your generosity and talent are amazing. Thank you for the opportunity to enter into the giveaway. '

I love the canning jar block someone said they wished they could can their kids hearts. This reminded me of the pickled people we used to make in the 80s out of old stockings then put their faces in a jar. Everything you do brings back memories of my mom. She canned a lot of vegetables when I was young then only tomatoes when I was a teen. There were always lots of "canning jars" in our basement, full and empty. I only learned how to can tomatoes four years ago from my older sister. I mainly learned sewing and crafting from my mom. Both my sisters learned cooking. I love all you do and I love your fabrics. I wish I had the time to do it all!

Your tutorials are so through Lori. It is a joy to watch you create. I love your bright and beautiful fabrics too. I grew up helping can all our fruits and vegetables. I had to prep the canning jars for use by washing them in hot, sudsy water because my hand would slip right in to get to bottoms of them. My mom canned 100 quarts of green beans and 100 quarts of tomatoes plus other stuff so it was no small operation. We had a huge garden but with seven children to feed it was a labor of love for us all, which at the time I didn’t appreciate. Ha Thank you for a chance to win your very generous give away.

Hi Lori…I have been camping this week and couldn’t wait to get home to watch your newest video. We now live in my husband’s mother’s home and my most favorite memory of my kitchen is the day, my Mom, my Mother-in-law and a special friend spent the day canning blackberry jam. From 1978-82 I filled canning jars with pickles, tomatoes, spaghetti sauce and needed to leave all my canning jars behind when I left for the states. As I was growing up in the '50's, my grandfather would plow and disk a portion of his fields near the farmhouse for my grandmother to put in a large garden. She canned her produce and many times my mom went to help her. Being young, I liked to help but I am certain my "help" was probably not that helpful. Now 65 years later my youngest daughter has discovered the joy of canning and has carried on her great grandmother's passion. I still get to help. I love the tip to mark the stitch points for the embroidery with a ruler to get even stitches and I will definitely try this. I have seen making appliques by using interfacing and turning to get nice smooth edges. This definitely is something I should try. The CANNING JAR turned out so very cute that I think I need to make a set of placemats with them.

I just had to laugh---I just finished canning tomatoes for the first time in my life---over 60, too. All went well, but I now have a new appreciation for my mother, grandmother, and others that did this every season. I can’t wait to make a table runner for my kitchen ---this will be easier than the real thing! Thanks for all of your inspiration and creativity which you so willingly share!

I enjoyed your tutorial because it reminded me of a favorite memory. The afternoon in the summertime was spent in front of the TV watching what mom and I called the “soaps” while we shelled peas or butter beans, shucked corn, capped strawberries, etc. in preparation for the canning jars. What a fun time we had together.

Love the Canning Jar video. Your fabrics remind me of my childhood days with my Grandma. Love your fabrics. I have a huge collection of blue jars that I use to put all kinds of things in, not only in the sewing room but also in the kitchen.

As a child I remember watching my grandmother and her four daughters can and freezer bag all the different vegetables from the garden. Today I continue canning each year. I always do tomatoes and made pickels this year. I also like to do jellies and apple butter in the fall. Thanks for all your tutorials, I always refer back to them time and time again.

I love your canning jar tutorial. I use canning jars all the time canning fruits, vegetables, making jelly, sauces and homemade spice mixes. Lori, you have been so generous with your time, expertise and products, thank you!

Lori your designs are so much fun and beautiful. I love your canning jar appliqué and I love your technique in when using bias tape maker. Your fabrics are just beautiful and I am a big fan. Although I am new to quilting...I am just so inspired by your videos, line of products and easy to follow instructions! I look forward to Fridays.

I just got all my canning jars out. Getting ready to make my bread and butter pickles and grape jelly. So when I saw your video I had to get your fabric so I could make a canning jar wall hanging for my kitchen. Love all your stuff Lori. My house. Is all vintage. Love it all!!! Thank you for all you teach us

Thankful for this video as I not only learned some cute little tricks for applique, but it engendered some sweet memories of my grandma and her CANNING JARs all lined up with her produce from her garden. I dearly loved her and all she taught me including how to eat a healthy diet and QUILT!

I love how you name all of your Featherweights. I especially love, love, love James Taylor and I'm so glad you named one after him. I use canning jars a lot in my decor throughout my house, so I think I'm going to follow one of your suggestions to make a row of the canning jars into a table runner. You are so creative, Lori, and this ReMix video of the canning jar was awesome as usual.

Thank you for the video. I love the canning jar blocks; so cute! My mother used to preserve fruit and vegetables and made jam. She used many canning jars for this. I use the small canning jars in my sewing room to store buttons, beads, ribbon, and other small stitching supplies and display them on a shelf unit.

I love the canning jar applique!! Actually, I love everything "canning jar". I use canning jars mostly in my sewing room and kitchen but usually find a need for one in other parts of the house too. I always learn so much by watching your videos and I love how they are done. Thanks for all the great ideas and tutorials.

Loved this fun tutorial on the canning jars. It reminds me of my Aunt Erna from Denmark, who would can figs each year and they were amazing. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us and making the world so much cuter and reminiscent of the past, which I love. I love all things vintage. And thank you for this very generous opportunity! :)
