What is the book where she explains this? I sometimes get confused too, why God sounds so harsh in the old testament?

The Old Testament is the Hebrew Bible. The New Testament is the Christian Bible.

Because there had been no provision yet made for reconciliation with God. Warnings and punishment were the way he communicated that doing evil would have repercussions

I think God has given Lorna obstacles to communication to overcome so that we all realise how genuine she is; that she hasn't fabricated any of this very complex explanation of the unseen, the Divine influence in our lives. She hasn't been coached or manicured in some way to sell anybody something to benefit herself and, so far as I can see, was purposely-created for the work she does -- including the odd deficit to her presentation -- as someone uneducated and honest, in no way a trained public speaker. Lorna's authentic and comes to us in a simple way with a most powerful truth. A great soul who we believe because this isn't rehearsed or cultivated. It's real.
