I think the show is so popular because it shows great kindness and compassion, and often without judgment, something we all want more of in life. I watch it to get a dose of that, binging truly lifts my spirits enough to get through difficult times. It is what I love about it the most.

Sadly compassion, and caring is in very short supply and has been for the last 10years, As judgment and racism is growing rapidly worse. I cannot understand what has gone wrong. I am still caring and have oodles of compassion for all people whatever their religion or colour, I was brought up to be kind and helpful by may parents and grandparents and I will always do and be that. Showing kindness and caring is perceived by many to be a weakness but in fact is shows a strength to understand that we are all the same under the skin, and that people have troubles and horrible things happen to them for no rhyme of reason and all they need is someone to listen sometimes and I mean listen and not tell them how you dealt with your own troubles.

There were so many stories I cried my eyes out about on this show, but the Cystic Fibrosis one definitely hit home for me. Thank you JA!

Absolutely love Call the Midwife. The winter of ‘16-17 was particularly cold where I live and I remember curling on the couch under multiple covers binge watching the series. Outstanding performances, story lines and actors.

I love Jenny ever since I saw her play in American Werewolf in London many years ago. "Call the Midwife" is one of my favorite BBCs television series. Such a great show! ♥️♥️♥️

Jenny Agutter’s Sister Julienne is one of the great characters in the television pantheon. She epitomizes the “good Christian” in my book! But the whole series is a gift.

Yes. The lack of harsh judgement and staunch compassion is what I love most about her. Her faith would say abortion is a sin for instance but she is experienced and kind enough to know that for many of her patients it is the only option and that it doesn't effect the duty of care she has towards them. She is a real rock. I would feel very safe with her as my leader.

I remember Jenny Agutter in the movie 'Amy' where she plays a dissatisfied wife of a wealthy man. She leaves him to teach at a deaf and blind school. It was a wonderful movie but can't seem to find it now. She remains beautiful.
