I have enjoyed Every bit of the serie. I can sit and watch for hours No Stop. So interesting , So much to learn. I do find it Highly therapeutic for my mind. And I love their spirit and joie de vivre. They do get on so well and so much in love .. I am SO jealous and SO sad. I spent summer in the castle in the mid 80’s. It was owned by an American Mr. Jacobs. It has a discotheque and we had many hot air balloon launches from the yard. And yes; the bathroom waste would go into the moat.

The production company cut its ties and wanted distance because Angel stole a local artists work, he done on her house, and then she put the art on wallpaper and sold it as there in America. Its became public knowledge. 😅

Except we literally saw Angela design the wallpaper on the show. She talked about everything that inspired her and the finished wallpaper was very similar to her original design (with carrots). Angela even said she was sending her original sketch to a designer to make into wallpaper. The designer obviously ended up being unhappy with the deal but the original design was Angela’s.

What about Chinese buying fields in Provence? And who permits? Even French have the option to buy old chateaus or houses at f.ex. Côte d'Azur and renovate them. Why don't they? I enjoyed the Chateau series very much as an example of what is possible with the necessary creativity, capability, engagement and the will to revive old history. With lots of inspiration as regards living / renovating and gardening. The owners may be british but the Chateau is still french and preserved in the style it was built many years ago, and .... no longer a ruin.
