Thankful for our 33 years together, but miss him more than I could have ever imagined possible. It would have been our 39th anniversary in January 2022, our 40th Christmas together this year. (((((hugs))))) I lost my husband, soul mate, December 31, 2020. He just made our 35th wedding anniversary December 13, and our "meeting" date December 24, 1981. I can't imagine that it will ever stop feeling so Raw, so Fathomless....Had I not been an AA Member, and truly understood one day at a time, (and I am still sober, April 1, 1986, which I could only maintain for him, as he struggled so with alcohol) I couldn't face each day. It will be a while before I can listen to this song, especially her version (I can hear George's in my head). Condolences, love and prayers.

She made it OK to be absolutely stunning and gorgeous and dress sexy and still was celebrated for her craft and omg what a incredible voice this woman has still! I've watched many interviews that Lorrie has done and she is as grounded as can be. Tons of frigging cool stories from her childhood growing up in the Grand Old Opry. I've listened to this song by various artists and as much as I love many of the artists, I don't think anyone does it any better than Lorrie Morgan.

Boy that song hits, and I mean hits hard, as you get older you see things that really matter and it makes you see that picture that lorri is showing all of us. The people we miss.

I was a kid in southern Indiana in the early 90s and I can remember sitting in the backseat of our Ford Tempo and my mom playing this song and singing with it over & over. I look back and realize it was just before my parents divorced. Music defines so much of our lives, and eventually, you're old enough and all the lyrics make perfect sense.

I from Southern Indiana. New Albany. I love Lorrie Morgan'. Her husband Keith Whitley was an awesome singer as well. He passed away bc of alcoholism. They did do a song together called "Until each tear you cry becomes a rose".

I miss real(older)country music too. I listen to it. And it takes me back to some of the best times when my sister and I loved each other more than anyone. We had some sad, strong, life changing times. Memories we’ll never forget. My sister may have drifted away from me, but we still have these memories and moments. That will be forever in my heart. We were always there for each other. Lorrie was always on our fave playlist.

Sometimes you hear heartbreaking songs and know the singer is singing the song. Then sometimes you hear a singer singing a song that has felt the pain in their hearts that they're singing about. This is Laurie singing her 💜 heart. I'm glad she's found a new heart and song.

Have mercy.....I lost my husband, soul mate, December 31, 2020. He just made our 35th wedding anniversary December 13, and our "meeting" date December 24, 1981. I can't imagine that it will ever stop feeling so Raw, so Fathomless....I've listened to Lorrie Morgan since she first came out publicly, in the 70s, a child wonder. Her voice Cries, her heart- wails through her voice- commiserating with each of us. Right now, because of that, I can't listen to her, a Die Hard COUNTRY singer...I'll be glad when I can listen, again.....
