Lortet's Iris and Mount Gamal View הר גמל - אירוס הדור ותצפית מרשימה לגליל לכרמל ולים

Mount Gamal, 367 meters above sea level, is located on a beautiful spot on the western slopes of the Upper Galilee. Its peak provides a 360 degrees view towards the the Mediterranean Sea, Bay of Haifa, the whole magnificent Carmel Ridge, slopes of the Lower Galilee, and Beit HaKerem Valley.
During the spring, a blossom of the Lortet's Iris (Iris lortetii) can be seen between the rocks. This is a rare species of Iris and one of the delicate and unique of them.

הר גמל ממוקם על נקודה יפה במורדות המערביים של הגליל העליון. מפסגתו נשקף נוף של 360 מעלות לעבר הים התיכון, מפרץ חיפה, כל רכס הכרמל המפואר, מורדות הגליל התחתון והעליון ובקעת בית הכרם.
במהלך האביב פורח במורדותיו מקבץ יפהפה של אירוס הדור - אחד המינים הנדירים והיפים ביותר של משפחת אירוסי ההיכל. הנוף יפה במיוחד בשעת שקיעת השמש. הגישה היא מכביש 85 מאזור הצומת עם כביש 8535.
