I highly recommend Los Algodones for dental work. I was there in 2024 to select a dentist, to have extractions and implants and to have the final teeth made and installed. Total of three trips and two weeks of my time over the three trips. My full mouth restoration cost me 26% of what my USA dentist estimated. That's about **$40,000 LESS** than in the USA. I could never have imagined being able to do this where I live and the results are fantastic. The dental office I chose was SANI Dental Group, which I believe is the largest in Los Algodones. Do your own research of course, especially if you need major work like I did.

Thanks for sharing these tips! The margaritas in Mexico sound like a great reason to cross the border. All the food yall had in Mexico looked delicious as well. Yuma looks nice too. We have been many times to a peanut festival in Virginia. Lots of good memories. Thanks for taking us to Los Algodones!

I guess you were lucky or just missed Mexican Border Agent. There is usually one , smiles says Hello , but if you have a suitcase with you they usually take a peek or not. It’s not a big deal if they do check. The Mexican side has been remodeling that area for about a year. We always tip 10% . Tax is usually included in the price of the item. But if you go to a restaurant that actually gives you an actual cashier check/bill you need to check that receipt. 20% tip would be considered “big” but when we go in the summer it’s usually a quiet town so we tip 20% because they are really slow when it comes to tourists & patients.

I'm 73 , have been going to algadones since I was 14 , never a problem , Washington state now, I get my work done at Sani Dental always been good, they run a shuttle from the Yuma airport (Ride during business hours in case you need to call the office , the traffic at the border affects the shuttle ) I stay in hotel Hacienda , walk to my appointment about 4 blocks away. Average cost for me is about 40% of our local dentist. flight, hotel, dental work included. all work is in house so it gets done asap.
