The Griffith Observatory is a popular tourist attraction with an excellent view of the Hollywood Sign and an extensive array of space and science-related displays. It is located in the largest park in Los Angeles, California, sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles' Griffith Park. It commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. Admission has been free since the observatory's opening in 1935, in accordance with the will of Griffith J. Griffith, the benefactor after whom the observatory is named.

Griffith Park is a jewel in Los Angeles, much bigger than Central Park in New York and rugged, hiking, picnicking, the LA Zoo, horse riding, etc. By the way, that tunnel is where they filmed the scene in Back to the Future when Biff is driving his car with Marty hidden in the back seat trying to take the sports almanac. On 13:33, that intersection is where a police (or sheriff) helicopter crashed many years ago. Just dropped from the sky and laded right in the intersection. At 17:00 that tower we see on the left is depicted in a scene in the movie "L.A. Confidential" but from the view of the cross street. Ah! and the Jacaranda trees on Hollywood Blvd. are beautiful this season. We have 'em all over LA...so beautiful.

God, as a european i love this channel. Watching this videos after a long day in the University is like a shorttrip holiday to the US. Awesome insights to so many different places and locations, Keep up the work and the style of your vids man. I really appreciate that there is no music playing, nobodys jumping around infront of the camera, just the everyday life!Oh, and theres one thing I'd really like to know: What happend to L.A.? I saw several old videos and pics from the "old L.A." in the 1940's and 50's and it has a complete different look to me than modern L.A. I wonder why, because on those old Images the City is really charming, and I feel that it lost some of it's charme and soul since then (just my opinion, it's not meant to be offensive).

A lot of that old school charm was nothing more than a fiction. A couple of blocks here and there, and probably mostly just sets in Burbank. One thing I learned during my recent trip to LA is how Hollywood can create any image it wants... and back in the 40s and 60s Hollywood was the only ones with the cameras.

OMG, Griffith Observatory...the crowds, people, traffic & parking control. In 70's, 80's 90's I worked a mile away and would go there for lunch with my cooler and a 1/2 hour of time.. It was deserted, adjacent parking lot at top no more than 1/3 full. L.A., ya just can't live, exist, or survive there anymore. Median home price 800's, not what I remember. Those days are long gone. But still nice to see again, tnx.

How many times have I wished that you continue straight on at this intersection :)) May I perhaps make a small suggestion for a possible further video? Is it possible that you'll drive from LA to San Francisco and as little as possible on a Freeway/Interstate so we can see the landscape a bit better? You could cut the video more often and release a part of it between other videos / projects. If it is not possible, no problem, you are already making enough great videos! :)
