Sounds like that department has problems and should be investigated. These sheriffs departments and their detective tactics invade rights and break laws, even cause harm. A uniform and a badge is a gateway towards corruption. It is abound. The shooter could have been an innocent victim and law abiding until they were pushed. Ive seen it and also have lived it. There are chiefs policies and directions that put their entire department at risk of random retaliation because their is no recourse to correct it. Judges play along with it

Its also sad when a cop shoots a driver 8 seconds after initiating a stop. An 18 yr old boy never got his chance to be a cop, EVER. The cop got PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE pending investigation. Now why does he keep getting paid? But when one of them is killed, its an hour long press conference about how hard he worked. They're both sad, tragic losses. But one is handled fairly while the other one favors the cop. This is just one reason cops are so hated.
