Wow, 400+ Crown Vics would be more than enough to provide the entire patrol squad in a suburban town police department. Ford should definitely bring back the Vics, keep the exterior body shape, and just modernize the textures for the headlights and tail lights.

Looks great! I think the NYPD preserved at least 1 for the NYC auto show. A friend of mine sent me photos of his visit to the auto show. He took a photo of a 1998-2012 CVPI next to a 2020s NYPD Ford Explorer and the Mustang Mach-E. It looked clean like it was just out of the factory or dealership.

its an 09-10, you can tell by the newer boxy door trim. If it was a 2011 it would have larger headrests

It's a 09-10 for sure. Door trim tells all.. pushbar has nothing to do with year model. 2011 is the only year with the enlarged head-rests

Milwaukee Police have lots still under service. Many are detective bureau cars. They keep these because they last long and are cheap to fix..

Do you happen to know the background regarding their famous stockpile order? I also discovered a private company on social media that offers refresh services to LE agencies (I guess it became a viable option during the pandemic to refresh Crown Vic's as production of new cars came to a halt.) They claim to have done restorations to multiple agencies in the US. Wonder where those cars are today.
