The REAL NFL on CBS, the NFC version. I hope that CBS can get back the NFC package ASAP.

This was one of the satisfying days I had as a Ram fan when we upset them in their backyard when they had the better record. This is when I learn records are irrelevant when it comes to rivals each game is a new day.

Looking at Joe Montana's numbers in 1990 they declined from this game on for the rest of 1990. The lack of running game really hurt the 49ers it showed it self in the Championship game. The Rams gave the blueprint to stop the 49ers. The funny thing about the 49ers winning streak over the Rams. I was in 3rd grade when they played this game. I was a SR. in high school in 1999 when the Rams ended this streak to the 49ers.

I was 10 at the time. For some reason, around that time, rams had the 49ers number on the road just like the cowboys had the redskins number on the road.

The 90 49ers remind of the 83 Redskins. 49ers were the best team week in and out for a year and a half, then went flat. Same thing with the 82-84 skins in a way.

Yep Madden pointed it out at the beginning that the Rams were going to play mostly nickel the entire game, sometimes only one linebacker and dare the niners to throw it. It's what the giants did to both the niners and then the Bills in the Super Bowl. People gave all of the credit to Belichick but you're right the Rams made the template.

The Rams kicked there ass especially in the 4thQ. They just jammed it down their throat. SF was flat as hell. I think Montana threw 3 INT's and they had 6 turnovers. The Rams however would not beat the 49ers again until 1999 losing 17 in a row.

The Rams always played the 49ers tough in this era at Candlestick Park it was one of the toughest rivalries in the NFL. The Rams played a great game.

The 1990 49ers remind me of the 83 Redskins. They peaked just before the season ended and just seemed a step slow.

And they will kicked their ass again this Sunday too

The biggest WTF game in NFL history. To be known as "A funny thing happened on the way to the Stick" as both the Niners and Giants lost the week before their mega Monday night showdown (and first of two as it turned out)

SF was 11.5 pt. favorite. Another wtf game was Houston @ Pitt. in 2002.

Forward pass ?
@bbigjohnson0695 жыл бұрын
It was a forward pass but he was behind the line. The ball was snapped just inside the 22 yd. line. McGee lets it go at the 23 yd. line. Over a yard behind the line.

Oh well. At least Eddie Haskel, (Oh Hi Mrs. Cleaver) never made it to the Superbowl. Neither did the L.A. Rams.

The L.A. Rams did make it to the Super Bowl in 1979. They lost though.

The Rams have been to 3 Super Bowls, actually..fool. 1979, 1999, 2001..and they may be on their way to one in 2018, the way they're loaded now..
