Most locals avoid the Hollywood area. It's hyped up as this glamorous, movie premiere destination but in my opinion, it's the most depressing part of LA. It's dirty, full of scammers, and touristy. I love my city but it's not an easy place to visit because everything is so sprawled out and it's hard to appreciate when you have to drive (and get stuck in heavy traffic) to get where you need to be. It's even more difficult without a car. If you ever come back, I'd consider staying near Santa Monica/Venice Beach for a change of pace or Pasadena because there's a ton of shopping and nice places to eat, plus, you can hop on the Gold Line to Downtown LA.

Great video guys. I have personally done exactly the same bus tour in Hollywood, visited the Santa Monica Pier, ate at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, etc, and I agree with you, that Hollywood is not what people think it is. I would never visit that place again. The better tour that I would have suggested, is the tour of famous movie stars and celebrities homes. That was really fun and interesting.

Thank you! I don’t think we’d be back but if we did I would love to do the celebrity homes tour. Very expensive though!!😊
