Seen these guys live back in Chile when I was younger, its quite the sight when you are right there listening and watching this phenomenal band playing live, the combination of Andean and Rock music is truly brilliant, this is the essence of what progressive music is all about! Even Pablo Neruda would be proud of this of this work of art.....

Hello Thank you very much for reacting ❤️ This song is part of the album "Alturas de Machu Pichu", which was commissioned to the group to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the city, the condition was that the lyrics should contain the poems of Pablo Neruda (Chilean poet Nobel Prize for Literature) , which he had written dedicated to the ruins. It was an odyssey to record since they did not have much time, the piano was taken by helicopter, and at the time of recording the vocalist became ill and lost his voice, they found a healer and a nun from the area, injected him with Sulfur (literally), and the next day they put him to sing. A big hug 😘😘

Hi. The original soundtrack was recorded in 1981 into Pathê Marconi studios in París ,France and the clip fimed un the ruins of Macchu Picchu in septtember same year. Grettings from Villarrica, southern of Chile. PS , Mike Macabre made a similar reaction one year before.
