Los Jaivas are one of the most important bands from Chile, They've been around for more than 60 years, mixing progressive rock, psychedelic rock, Chilean folk, classic music, Andean music and more. This is a master piece from 1975. Great reaction!

(or old live performances in poor quality) Their original official studio versions songs/music videos are found on unofficial channels. That is why I recommend those specific videos that are difficult to find. I am from Chile and I grew up listening to the original versions of the albums (it is always better to listen to the official version in good quality and then other versions/live etc...) ,

In the 70’s, progressive rock rules the world, but in Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, folk music (a mixture of spanic and original tribes legacy) had a strong presence, so many bands merged both and create this great fusion. Note the drummer used to play a great battery and many times he was compared to John Bonham.

This work is from 1975, the sound of the guitar is painful, you have to understand that at that time they had no money and the guitar is out of tune because they did not have a better one. The recording is painful too. The winds are with instruments that are not very precise due to their own indigenous nature. Despite all this, this band is much, much better than what can be heard here.
