Would've liked more discussion about what overseas players can add to the development of NZ players. Matera has played at a higher level in different environments to many young NZ Super players.

His big problem is more with the argentineans rugby players and fans outside of Buenos Aires Union because his racist expressions showed that the culture of arrogance and favoritism still prevailing in the Buenos Aires rugby Union part of the argentinean rugby Union and still being transmitted to young players like Matera. Besides Matera is good ….yes ….but many argentinean even since we won over the juniors springboks in 1967, our first big win, could have played in any of the best leagues of the world including New Zealand. It is not good for the argentinean rugby that Matera holds the captaincy of the Pumas

The Crusaders aren’t squeaky clean themselves. Richie Mounga got in trouble before for spitting on a woman and groping her and George Bridge got in trouble over homophobic comments which he denies. Then there is obviously Sevu Reece and his well documented indiscretions. NZ rugby in general has had its fair share of scandal which they usually try to cover up. Aaron Smith and Jerome Kaino affairs, Shannon Frizzel slapping a woman in the face etc.

Great thing about Razor is his belief in players getting a second chance. Did you forget about Sevu Reece assualt charge on his partner in 2018? No Super Rugby franchise would touch him, Irish club Connacht tore up his contract. Razor gave him a shot at the Crusaders & in his debut season made the All Blacks & 2019 RWC Squad.
