palgon started a folk music revolution on Amdo in the late 1980s with his innovative style in such compositions as 'Akhu Pema' and "sha yu mo she'u". He has inspired countless young musicians in Amdo and beyond to copy and develop his style. Meanwhile in the diapora community , Tsering Topten Nelung and Lobsang Palden Tawo recorded Two albums, Trinkor I (1985) and Trinkor II (1989), that would explore new directions in Tibetan song. the popularity of these influential recording spread among Tibetans both inside and outside Tibet.
