Golfing with the boys isn’t the PGA tour. Everything is a hazard drop.

Long drinks are amazing! Hey just a small tip from a guy that isn’t a coach but watches too much golf and has too much stupid knowledge in it. In your backswing, your hands are going (or rolling) too far inside and getting stuck behind your body. So to square the club face you have to flip your hands which will lead to a pull or hook unless you time everything up perfectly. Or you won’t flip your hands which will lead to a block/ slice/ wipey fade. 👍 love the game and watching the gaming videos as well.

Scootsy is right. If your ball goes OB/you cant find it, dropping where it went out is +2, so he would be hitting 4th shot after the tee off. If he were to re-tee from the original shot (or hit provisional) after going OB, then its +1, hitting 3rd shot from tee. The +2 drop where it went out is a local/casual rule to speed up pace.

If one is playing by the official rules of golf (USGA), any ball that is hit OB/into a White Penalty area, that player must take Stroke and Distance relief. I've never seen a local rule for lateral relief from OB/White penalty area but I've also never played every course so I'm sure its out there even though the rules of golf states, lateral relief is only to be taken from a red hazard. Personally, I think if you aren't playing a tournament round everything should be a lateral hazard aka red line/stake hazard.
